I freaking adored this game! I have only played through once but apparently there is like 6 different endings. So this video totally makes me want to replay it and try to get another one :3

This review made me play Strange Horticulture and I loved it. I have since binged the sequel Strange Antiquities which is also really good and has a few quality of life updates… But now I am also trapped in being unable to find anything like it!!! Thank you for the unique experience, Roses!

I saw this in my library recently and was like, "didn't Roses recommend this?" So I played it, and came back to tell you I had a great time labeling plants, solving map puzzles, and watching my neighbors conspire against each other. If the rainy soundtrack makes anyone else drowsy at night, I recommend putting on a spooky playlist in the background to make it feel like the plant store has a radio.

I loved this game, and also have spent many, many hours searching for one that's like it. I haven't found a one to one yet, but on the vibes front my best rec is Reka.

The gameplay is nothing like Strange Horticulture but you literally are a young witch named Reka who is traveling with Baba Jaga as her apprentice in a chicken legged hut you can build up and customize to your heart's content with rewards you get for completing fetch quests for magic spirits and people you meet. You are literally in the spooky witch's hut of your dreams, because you get to make it exactly what you want it to be. Also you can pick up the chickens and summon crows to pick things up for you and tell your house "hut hut" to move and build a garden.

There’s been a lottttt of comments here, and this doesn’t have everything you loved in Strange Horticulture, but can I recommend Wytchwood? Witchy, ingredient collecting, a mystery, fun dialogue, spell crafting, puzzle solving…I love that game!

I'm very late to this video (6 months to be exact) but omg this looks fun lol. I should definitely try this, as a pagan woman who loved papers, please but couldn't keep up with its increasingly stressful pace this looks so good

Hey! I watched this video when it first came out. And just today saw a trailer for a game called "Do No Harm" and though "omg i have to comment on that one pushinguproses video" hahaha. It looks very similar to this hut youre a doctor and it has a lovecraftian coat of paint

I just found out that the game devs are releasing another game, called Strange Antiquities.
Looks to be very similar (possibly even set in the same world), but focusing on antiquities instead of plants!

Hey Roses, I have a recommendation for a game you might like. It's called Welcome to Elderfield. Its by Ill-advised Records here on YT he does a lot of Halloween/Horror type music and even created his own Mysterious town on his "weather channel" segments. He made a Stardew Valley meets Horror Farming game based on his town. It's in its Demo Stage right now but there's lots to do! It seems up your ally so I thought I'd share. 🌹

A fun fact: In older Herbology and Alchemy, they did believe different flowers, herbs and plants had aspects to them.
Example Lavender had the aspect to calm the soul, causing people to calm down, and relieve from pain.
Today though we have way better understanding of the chemicals, hormones and such that build up them, so we know what causes certain things.

I loved this game soooo much, it's addictive!
My boyfriend laughed at me because he thought it looked so boring lol but the story is really nice!!!

I have been sleeping on this game too perhaps. I might want to give this game a let's play look-see on YouTube this Halloween, if I'm not too absorbed in the Until Dawn remake/remaster.

You know they're putting out a sequel-ish game to this one called Strange Antiquities! It is scheduled roughly around this quarter, but there's no determined release date yet. I heard about it months ago that Strange Horticulture was getting a sequel and I nearly died! I've got it on my Wish List and will snap it up in a heartbeat as soon as it comes out!

If creepy atmosphere is anyone's jam, I can't recommend Dark Dome's mobile games enough. They've achieved a really whimsically eerie tone with their games that's unique and so fun. A delightful way to spend an hour or two this early fall

I just bought it because of the video but I always feel like an idiot with games because at a point, I don't know what I am supposed to do next. People came to the window, I did the plants, now someone wants the Bue- which I don't have….but the map doesn't work to travel so….

OMG I love Strange Horticulture!! I didn't know they were making another one, so now I am really excited and cannot wait for that to come out. I actually bought my Switch just to play Strange Horticulture and have replayed it many times (the auto labeling of the plants was a lifesaver for me since that part actually annoyed me the most). And I loved that I could pet Hellebore and he would purr. I loved that there were different endings based on decisions I made throughout the game. Now, I will scroll through the comments looking at all the suggested games because I have been desperate to find something similar as well.
