Writer Jack Thorne and Director Marc Munden reflect on the most emotional scene of the series, including the decision to stretch what’s instant in the book into an extended two-hander, the infrared camera trick that turned the Malaysian jungle into a riot of reds and pinks, and why the camera pulls away before Piggy actually dies. As a Potterhead I have some beef with Thorne lol, but he seems like a decent guy here. The young actor is very impressive.
