Here visiting the land of the Cayuse. Sanibel and Captiva Island. We’ve been on several eco tours now and the last one finally took some time to talk about the middens the Cayuse made. The point being that the grand pioneers who “settled” this place built their homes on top of the middens or decorated their homes with the shells left. Ugh ugh ugh

Tsi'yu Gunsini aka Chief Dragging Canoe was right!
The United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee refused to assimilate to Western civilization and not only opposed slavery but actively supported the Union

also lets not be silly everynation on earth had slaves at one time or another.Terrible lazy people have slaves even my nordic ancestors we had a way different way of treating our slaves. Somewhat similar to what the native americans did. Colonial slavery and the moorish slavery was a whole new ball game for the worst

I have always wondered why, with the white encroachment on all native land, did not one bring all natives together more than three main tribes. If they would of had commanche, arapaho, ute, pawnee etc. If they all would have just set aside their differences and banded together would have been a hell of a force. They really should have done that and not just the lakota cheyenne etc
