I hated the first one beyond words, and I can’t understand why any of them are successful. I’ve loved plenty of James Cameron films, but everything about this setting and characters is awful and vaguely racist.

I genuinely think Spider is retarded. All the traumatic stuff and implied internal conflict, but no the kid simply does not process anything that happens and keeps trucking on like an NPC

it's the first time a videogame concept translates to cinema.
The whole concept of DLC.
I felt rewatching avatar 2 all over again, but with new added content. Same story, yeah, but new characters.

Spider seems way more tolerant of his adopted father going to kill him but then not doing so than Han Solo's son with Luke Skywalker. Not going to build a franchise trilogy with that kind of forgiveness!

I do feel these films could be trimmed significantly and achieve the same thing, although it looks gorgeous.. I am very disappointed about there being no 3D version on the Blu-ray physical media release though.
