I met Evergrey and their singer, and my first reaction was “that voice from this big scary-looking dude.” Second was they were the nicest band members I met in a while. We had a mutual friend who Tom now sings for in his band Redemption. (Top notch individual in every way) so I was able to get the real personalities

Some really intriging recommendations this week, my man: I liked that you snuck in some varied genres like the Prog Rock Adjacent and the Apostle choice not to mention the Fucked Up album. Great video! 🤘🤘

A weird week, and just what was needed, 13 minutes of Heavy Metal Philosophy.
AI album art. Mentioned this a while back while I was still on Reddit, on a metal Reddit. How many metal albums are DIY, punk style. Take a royalty free image, or take a photo yourself, run it through filters or a free photo editor, slap the band logo/name and album name on. One album cover, no AI needed. I mean, no-one can say that Bolt Thrower's IVth Crusade does not hit hard as an album cover; take a picture of a painting, band name, album name, done. Those Once Loyal, picture of a picture on a memorial, and it hits hard. Really hard. How many black metal albums are; Photo of ruined castle, put through a filter to make it look gnarlier, band name, album name, done? A lot. They all look much better than any AI.

It's always an amazing Saturday when I can get turned onto albums I didn't have on my list thanks to your channel! That Dissentient, Apostle, and Primal Cult all went to my BC wishlist. Also, thanks for your take on A.I. art and A.I. in the industry. Totally agree with your views. Thanks again for doing what you do.

Damn man, I've been in a tough place lately. But watching your podcast and the weekly roundup of albums is one of the highlights of my week. My 71 year old dad just started listening to Blood Incantation a few months ago. Same guy that told me he’d never like metal 2 decades ago can’t get enough Blood Incantation. I’ve always been a VOIVOD fan and that new album is killer man I absolutely agree 🤘🏼🤘🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Another Saturday morning spent fully entertained.

Hell yeah. "Crappy" art scrawled out by a non-artist or a potato photo is miles above generic generative slop that no one cared enough to put effort into.
