Children don’t come out the womb like that. The child’s behavior is horrendous but who taught her that she will get what she wants by throwing tantrums? It’s easy to see bad behavior in children and blame them for it but they were literally dumped onto this hellscape of a planet with no frame of reference but the people they are surrounded by. This kid has not been truly loved in her short life. Children who are well loved and well cared for (which includes proper discipline and boundaries) don’t act out like this unless they were born with a brain defect and even then, it’s not something they can help. If u see a child acting out it is 100% becus the parent didn’t do their job correctly. Parenting is a hard job and too many people have kids before really learning how hard it might be. Don’t have kids if u aren’t ready for everything they might throw at u.

This is deeply dysfunctional. It’s sad. In my profession we say “behavior is communication.” These kids are communicating extreme insecurity and it’s really sad.

Hear me out: I think Dog Daughter has been raised by a hysterical mother and an absent father, has been kind of invalidated and unheard so she feels like she has to explode to be heard, got treated like an animal for her outbursts her whole life and has this need to look tough and independent because she knows she can't rely on her parents for a sense of security.
Her coat looks great though, so she's clearly on the high end kibble. Hopefully she's up to date on vaccines with that bite history.

Nick was gagged but Jo was absolutely right saying that the mom sees herself in the way her daughters act: it's because they learned the shouting and temper tantrums from HER! At the very least, the mom not screaming at her daughters anymore will help. The dad, however, did nothing.
