2026! Not as good as last year’s Grammys, but what could be? So how did everyone do, and can this trend keep up? Also: Fuck ICE?

Speaking of gifs from the Grammys, Durand Bernarr and his assistant running is iconic!
I know this is the Sabrina Stan Station, but I thought "Wildflower" was way more prevalent. Especially on tiktok and playlist making platforms like youtube and spotify. Even with pop culture, I saw more speculation about the situation with the friend vs which man Sabrina is talking about this time, if that makes sense?

50:15 are you thinking of Sabrina's 2025 VMA's performance of Tears where it ended with the backup dancers' signs saying "protect the dolls" and "in trans we trust"?

eta: okay you mention the VMA's performance at 54:45 so I am probs wrong

2:19 EXCUSE YOU?!? With all the love for my favorite podxast hosts, there is only a single argument in support of not giving Best Music Video to OK Go, and only when they haven't put out a video that year.

the one award nominee i was hoping would win was amyl and the sniffers for best rock performance, imo every other song nominated for that category shouldn't even be there

and no offense to yungblud (or maybe offense, idk how he is) but he looks exactly like the kind of person the old dudes at the grammys would vote for. he looks lab engineered to win rock performance grammys

I feel like sabrina having already beefed with whitehouse twitter and that having gone everywhere it'd be hard for people to take her supporting ice very well.

I'm honestly surprised Kendrick got on the superbowl as well but then they censored every third word after all that hype and it made sense

Hi, Todd; please do a One Hit Wonderland episode on a beautiful power ballad that hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 37 years ago today (Feb. 4, 1989): Sheriff's "When I'm With You". I've loved that song since I first heard the chorus in commercials for "Monster Ballads", and Freddy Curci's ability to hit that high note for 20 seconds at the end is amazing.

I wish him success but I could not be more uninterested in Bruno Mars, musically. I was really impressed by Post Malone's Ozzy cover. He'll never top his incredible 2020 performance for me but Tyler the Creator still kind of stole the show.

Todd’s perpetual glib dismissal of everything Gaga ever creates leads me to believe he was 100% one of the guys speculating whether or not she had a dick in 2009. “You heard me, you heard me”.
