I think that only after we realize emotions are human and ever-changing, we will find dominance of it through choosing to let it be. As there is also eternity in change.

it's called trauma, it protects us from repeating the same bs that caused us to be in the our worst state

Life is just a tug of war between the brain's chemical want to live, and our mental capacity to want our own death. You are literally fighting with your mind to NOT come to a final conclusion.

The idea of the sponsor takes away from the ideas of the video itself. The sponsor literally has a discipline guide in it; which btw you made fun of others for making similar products. Once the sponsor plays out, the second half of the video feels completely contradictory. You mention the idea of the performance principle, which this video reinforces the importance of following that order. Buying that product is not going to make you feel pretty or become present with life. When you think about it, it makes the video pretty sad.

in the modern world it seems to me the most radical and anti establishment punk decision we can make every day is to show ourselves compassion and love

This is the kind of thing that is far easier to talk about than it is to do. We do not live in a world that makes makes this easy to do – certainly not if you aren't born into perfect health and adequate wealth past the first ten years of adult responsibilities and pressures.

To increase your chances, be born into a middle to upper income loving family someplace like Denmark or Switzerland with genetics that do not predispose you any disability, developmental difference of mental illness.

This is a really great video, i really needed this as am struggling with something like this. While watching this video i cant help but remeber the main character from 'one piece' is the same. He just wanna enjoy being a pirate and live freely. I will be writting my thoughts on my journel about this and will look into this more. Thanks for the video. Have a Great Day

The problem with the ideas in this video is that it assumes everyone has the basic needs to then "enjoy life". Try saying "just enjoy life" to someone starving in an african country with abusive parents and is still a teenager. I wonder if alyssa liu would still just "enjoy" life if she was born homeless due to unplanned pregnancy and has to look for food scraps on garbage can.
Sure, maybe some rare oddities would be able to find "joy" in their life despite those things i listed out. But if we're gonna be realistic here, it's easier to be a good person and pursue and explore different things you enjoy if you have a roof over your head, a fully belly, and a loving environment.

So one must imagine happiness and the illusion of freedom in the present? Then why does society set so much goals for the future when happiness is within the now? Alyssa performs because it makes her happy, sure, but isn't it impossible to think that there's a hint of desire within her that makes her think that she wants to be validated by her performance?

alyssa lieu is a olympic committee plant initiated with the attempt of garnering youth, attention, and guess what it worked. She doesn't say shit about politics if you don't think that's a red flag you're Trippin Bruh.

hm…sorry, but this is a very narrow view of the world and happiness. works perfectly for the middle-class people, absolutely does not work for people with any sort of financial, health problems, or trauma. Alysa Liu seems to have had quite a normal and stable childhood, so perhaps not the greatest example.

Yeah, I guess this is kinda interesting way to look at it but nothing revolutionary. The hype for this girl is the most slop, Internet thing imaginable. "Oh, pretty woman and she's having fun?" It's just so cringe, so pretentious. I doubt this was the first time Gen-Z ever heard or saw someone just having fun and being accomplished at the same time. If she wasn't the pretty, "alternative" girl with an e-girl aesthetic I cannot imagine anyone carrying a single bit. Maybe someone learned something but this just seems like a safe edge sesh.

Ramble-y throwaway comment because I am procrastinating writing in my journal (if anyone can help, let me know). I suppose I contain a lot of spite against many leaders of the world and political systems as of late (see Gaza and the US's huge funding of Israel's military), which has led me to reading history books and podcasts about the Palestinian occupation and US meddling in the middle east. This has further lead to more spite and cynicism! But I enjoy the feeling of understanding these catastrophic conflicts, and learning about the world and its different peoples in general.

But am I enjoying this truly? And for whom am I trying to understand the world? I think it's to better argue and convince my loved ones of my political positions. At the same time this hobby is a distraction from looking for a better job and filling out my CV. At the same time there are classes. But it doesn't feel like the job I'm looking for will make me much happier than my current one. And why am I studying again?

How can I enjoy my life if I don't know how to enjoy it? I keep trying to picture what I could be doing to enjoy it and all I see is no realistic way to earn. I want to make drum n bass and take atmospheric videos with my retro camcorder. How can I have time for that hobby on top of everything else.

I'm suspecting that I cannot prioritize well. How can I

So all the ice baths I take mean nothing?? So much for grinding my ass off. I always kind of resented the whole grindset mentality glad my gut feeling wasn’t for nothing.

I'm only a minute in so he might bring this up but many prodigies go through a period like this where training and competing just don't scratch that itch anymore and they got to back away from it for a while Tony Hawk for example

Funny to hear Gen Z being called 'kids" – we're the generation of current engineering students, freshly graduated teachers and your doctors in a few years

All of human history has been built on the fear of yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. The desire to breakdown reality into a science to be understood. It's all shame and projection. Love is all, you can always choose love, not hierarchy, not control

The majority of this video – it is important to ignore external calls to fear and to find your own happiness through self-determination and a desire to be better in general
4:40 – buy this product because without it you will not be pretty
