How rats take advantage of human failure

Rats are grosser than we thought, but it’s not their fault.

It’s estimated that there are over 2 million rats in New York City alone. They often carry infectious diseases like E. Coli and Salmonella and gnaw on infrastructure, causing billions of dollars in damage every year.

But is any of this the rat’s fault? Rodentologist Bobby Corrigan says that rats can only succeed in the midst of human failure. If we were smarter mammals, better at disposing our trash and taking care of our infrastructure, then we wouldn’t have to worry about rats in our cities.

I love the background music, it sounds so outgoing and energetic but the instruments and how they were played made it feel like, idk, 1950s or 1960s. I just like it and it matches with this man rambling

Rats are still animals. I always thought this, they only eat trash cause we took everything for them to eat so they have nothing else. They aren’t evil, their bacteria is just deadly to us, they don’t choose this, they are usually harmless and all animal species have evil exceptions, i love most rodents especially hamsters and bunny’s. I wish they were safe to be round:)

New York needs to stop sending poop trains to the South, and stop mixing good with their garbage and start composting properly.

Him: "Here's a bag of food trash. Where'd it come from? Who knows."
Guy parked at the side of the road: *sweats profusely*

This is why whenever people design things, they need to not just brush away stuff with “we aren’t really looking at that right now” because eventually you will have to.
