SLIPKNOT Makes MASSIVE Announcement About Lost Album

Rock Feed | April 30, 2026

The 18-year mystery is finally solved. Slipknot has officially confirmed the release of their legendary “lost” album, Look Outside Your Window. Recorded in secret during the volatile All Hope Is Gone sessions in 2008, this project has been locked in a vault for nearly two decades.

Not much to get excited about if it's not even going to sound like slipknot, but honestly I haven't had a reason to get excited about their music in a long time! The original OG album is the best with a handful of good songs made after that

I remember those years as challenges that relate to the many dark times Slipknot themselves have gone through. What remains of us that eventually be bones and dust, we hear of the lost when we look outside the window…

Tell me one thing from Slipknot that isn't experimental.

That aside, I have a slight feeling that it's gonna sound like Linkin Park's One More Light album

    Kind of an "off-the-track" thing

Clown has to be the most useless member of slipknot. He better thank whatever god he prays to that he was allowed to be in this band and they become successful.

SO excited to hear this! A shame Joey's not drumming on it, but really exciting nevertheless. Thank you for a very clean and neat update – excellent video.

Feels weird seeing these instruments randomly, but in some other farm house instead of Sid's studio…. 18 years later. How unexpected.

You don't think they planned this?
They are the masterminds of "heavy" music that makes money. Of course this was thought out to be released. What's better than a 20 year anniversary release? Oh a "hidden" record that they will sell the fuck out of and make bank

I have been a fan of this band for a long time and I might be alone in saying this, but Iโ€™ve enjoyed all the bandโ€™s eras the different album cycles. I understand music styles, and taste come and go. Itโ€™s not all gonna be heavy and raw or whatever youโ€™re looking for even with the members changing whether itโ€™s sketchy parting or tragic death I still thoroughly enjoy this band and I am pretty excited honestly to get some new music.

Joey not being on drums from the era while he was alive is disappointing. Joey was one of the biggest reasons i got so big into slipknot in the first place. Im fine with it sounding different. I just hope its good.
