The Bend Oregon store had nice cashiers. The Store paid bare minimum wage and part time hours. However, the stores presentation was a shambles, product never faced, rotated, or restocked.
Store management were too young, inexperienced, and allowed their store to become a disorganized garage sale.

I used to shop at Big Lots, but only because it happened to within walking distance of my apartment. I bought the keyboard I'm typing with now from them. And the darn thing developed "white spot disease" as soon as I plugged it in. They kept selling stuff that could not be reordered again. And finally they filled up with stuff that wouldn't move and they went bye bye.

Temu has cheap quality stuff so you get what you pay for with them and had to return a lot of my stuff back that I bought from them too in the past. Big Lots definitely has better quality stuff no comparison to Temu. Big lots over charges though which is why I never shop there. I never even knew they were meant to be a discount store since I never noticed any differences in prices or any sales or coupons thatās what killed their business.

I would like to give a big thank you to the DISTRICT MANAGER, CHERYL KORDELA. After I informed her of the years of constant stalking of the PREDATOR, J..C., assistant manager; at 2525 Cleanleigh Dr., Parkville, MD. Despite me informing her of this serious issue; she claimed that she would investigate.
But magically NEVER DID !!! My last email to this so-called DISTRICT MANAGER – CHERYL KORDELA, was SEPT. 2024 !!! I emailed her again, in OCT. 2024, for an update. But she IGNORED IT !!! And when I tried to call her cell she NEVER ANSWERED !!! Of course, now her cell is DISCONNECTED ??!!
Apparently, a woman constantly being stalked by someone that she's responsible for wasn't important to this so-called DISTRICT MANAGER !!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!! I HOPE THAT STALKING PREDATOR AND HIS PROTECTOR…CHERYL KORDELA GET THEIR KARMA.
I HOPE WHAT HAPPENED TO ME HAPPENS TO HER, and NO ONE believes her !!!!!

It's been years since Big Logs ran a successful ad campaign and they have also let their stores get run down. This led to a change in consumer sentiment. I have noticed for the past year or two that whenever I go to Big Lots there is almost no one there, while Ollie's is usually packed.

The psychology for me was that I wouldnāt buy food from Big Lots because I felt its pedigree was a bit dubious.

I just moved from Pennsylvania to Tennessee a few months ago. Here there is a Big Lot's and an Ollie's Army pretty much across from each other. Personally I don't care for either store. In my opinion, Ocean State Job Lot is much better than either of those, unfortunately they are mainly located in the Northeast. Would love to see one down here.

Big Lots were only good for buying certain things and small items. Sometimes I would get cereal from Big Lots but I stopped b/c I noticed every time I would buy cereal the expiration dates on the boxes would get shorter & shorter. So I started buying cereal from Sam's Club.

The company that were helping them closing up shop came to an agreement yesterday so apparently this firm is going to buy Big Lots and keep 200 to 400 stores. It was announced yesterday

If I was Amazon, I would be buying Big Lots. Instant physical locations to sell their returns locally and a place for you to drop returns up or pick up your stuff.
