They were worried that they would be remembered as a community wrecker and distracting entertainer respectively, and their solution to that was to buy up a huge swathe of land in New York and fill it with entertainment venues? I guess you can't teach old dogs new tricks, huh.

Here we are in 2026 and what Bill De Blasio and the now current mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani did to New York City would make Robert Moses look like he contributed to the city not destroying it.

I can just imagine being in the 1964 New York World's Fair and going to the exhibit of “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.” I mean, an Abraham Lincoln robot got up from a chair. He looked left and right at his audience. Then he shifted his weight from one foot to another and recited a speech about liberty. The robot looked so real that people thought it was an actor.

I really liked watching this one and am currently very interested in the Worlds Fairs the United States hosted throughout 20th century. I would love to see more Worlds Fairs video histories on your channel like 1962 Seattle with the Space Needle, HemisFair ‘68 in San Antonio, Expo 74 in Spokane, Knoxville 1982 or even the 1984 New Orleans Exposition which went into bankruptcy during its run. Otherwise this was one of my favorite videos on your channel, you dive so deep into these it’s mesmerizing to watch. Keep up the amazing work!

Watching all of Season 3 back to back, that nod to him dressing up as Lincoln as a kid is incredible. So much research was put into this from the get-go, amazing stuff!
