Judging by the past history of US holding traitors and rebels accountable and fixing systemic issues, no, no He won't and They won't, what you guys think? President JD Vance in 2032? It isn't like consequences and change is a thing that the US has ever really done, outside of the performative.

Volunteering and organizing are often praised, but they assume a level of time and security many people simply don’t have. When people are struggling to survive financially, how realistic is it to expect them to be out protesting?

Well I am not sure what you were thinking or expecting, I mean you have a huge hate boner for Trump and his whole administration or anything Republicans, but we couldn't even get like Bush and his administration like Colin Powell, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld into a international trial for crimes against international community such as the Iraq War or even the Afghanistan. Or even Obama and his administration such as Hillary Clinton for Libya, and have them arrested by ICC, so no way Trump or anyone in his administration will be indicted by the ICC.

Most of the German Nuremberg War Criminals were released early to take up positions in the reestablished police and military, in the rearmed West Germany.

The problem is that anytime they have been accountable, Fox News and the rest of conservative online media sells it as the Left going after them for political reasons. Not because of crimes committed, but because the Left hates the Right and we want them in prison. And it continues fueling the hatred on their side for the Left. We need to find a way to break the cycle and snap people out of the propaganda that keeps us all stuck in the same situation.

Unfortunately this administration will not be held accountable in this country even if they lose power. The Democratic Party does not have the testicular fortitude to go after the Trump administration. They will likely sweep everything under the rug once they regain power. The GOP knows this so they are not worried about consequences for their actions. Not to mention that Trump will probably issue a blanket pardon anyway. The only chance for justice is for The Hague to go after Trump and his administration once he is out of power. It is a long shot but I don’t see any other way.

With the Extortion of Ukraine, trump never shoulda been allowed to finish the 1st term. The secret documents cases between the terms and now with more crimes occurring. For those of us that are practical, pragmatic and such, there is no reason to *Believe anything legal will happen to those MAGA members. Members of the Jan6 have ben released, most of trumps Republicans associates from 2016-2020 are nolonger in political offices, why havnt they been convicted or even brought to court?? There are so far no plans to prosecute trump or any other MAGA member.

If you look up " just following Orders" + "Nuremberg trials", you'll find a host of camp guards and goons who thought they'd NEVER be held accountable for their cruelty and brutality.
I think we need to put this thought into the heads of everyone in the Government who is betraying their Oath to uphold the Constitution.
Like it or not, peaceful resistance is intended to change the behavior of those in Authority. The direction this country eventually goes depends on the people with the guns.
Since there IS no such thing as "The Left" (in terms of Authority over people with guns) we are pretty much hoping that the people with the guns will allow elections and support a peaceful transition of Power.
Unfortunately the people that ought to have fought Authoritatively to uphold the institutional integrity of our Checks and Balances,seem to always choose to resign instead.
This can't continue.
THAt is the Value of peaceful Protest: to galvanize those still in positions of requisite Authority ,against the continued degradation of the Land of the Free.
I also think its important that we realize we can't just "go back" to how it was before January.
Our two party system is what got us here.
The election of Bill Clinton completed the takeover of the Party by the anti-worker "New Democrats", and made our current reality inevitable.
If all you ever do is maintain the Status Quo or charge to the Right, it isn't rocket science to figure out where you will end up.
And that is what a two party system ruled by the Donor class has given us.
If we just try to "go back" we will get a few years of relief, followed by another attempt by the Donors to cement their Rule.
I can already see the headlines: " President-Elect Manchin touts new era of Bipartisanship, in inaugural address".
Then we'll get 4 years of the Parliamentarian telling us that we can't enact any kind of left-populist policy to help regular people.
And that will be all the opening the next right-populist demagogue will need to finish us for good.

[QUESTION] What I wanna know is, what the fuck about all the other people who have been swept up and shipped off overseas?? Yeah like what one or two high profile cases were returned (and accused of this or that), but there are still hundreds of people who had no trials or due diligence, still stuck in death camp prisons?? That I guess everyone's just forgotten about? Probably dead I guess.
