You did not mention that Musk wants all subsidies removed including gas subsidies. Not just EV. The gas subsidies are not so visible but still very large.

What you said about safety regulations with Tesla hits a strong tie with DOGE, since they're is talking a lot about deregulation. There's gotta be somethin up with that, and consider all the red tape they can move out of the way with regards to Neuralink, Space X, or any other innovative project/company he wants to start up

No tesla will fail. Those who buy electric vehicles are liberals and now the liberals hate musk and conservatives or magets drive internal combustion engines trucks and they now hate musk for his H1b visas and insulting them so i suspect that tesla will go bankrupt in a couple of years

If you google "Greening the armies" you will find some studies on environmentally sustainable warfare and armies. US Army is no better as they have tried biofuel for aviation fuel etc. They are also phasing out lead from bullets, explosives etc. (CL-20 is a promising candidate).

The nuclear subs are technically electric subs. An on board nuclear reactor generates all the electricity needed by the sub's on board weapons and life support systems.

You may had found nothing, but it is not because it hasn't been discussed. You can find the topic discussed along electric aircraft.
I had to write a 5000-word report (or "long letter") stating the technical reasons why our company (which engineers carbon-free propulsion systems) will not collaborate in the project.

The media is wasting their time criticizing Elon instead of pushing the public to buy more electric cars. EVs need to be replace every combustion car.
There's a theory going around that the media is taking money from big oil companies since they know their time is up if 100% of consumer cars are EVs.

The thing is, Trump doesn't have any firmly held beliefs. Everything is for sale with him. Elon made an expensive bet that likely will pay off. Trump has no problem completely changing his tune on EVs if it benefits him. And where Trump goes his followers follow.

Very bad development..these two men will collide with each other. Trump is living in a different world..he wants Greenland and Canada! This is ridiculous! When you have such an attitude than China can take Taiwan! What about that?
