Phil said his back was fucked up and couldn't tour. He went out with Super joint Ritual and left dime n Vinnie hanging so Damage Plan was born. Now everyone is on Phil's jock, you people forget if Phil lied to dime , dime would still be here. Fuck this celebration cash grab , it's shit

I have seen so much hate towards this on Facebook and I don’t understand why! I think this is a great way to celebrate the music and the legacy, if Dime could pick anyone to honour him it would be Zakk! I’ll be there!
It’s not money hungry either as the estates of the Abbott brothers have given their blessing so they will get royalties also, it helps everyone out.

I saw Pantera live in 97’ and 2001….absolutely phenomenal. I’ve also seen Down live and although they’re a great band/musco’s, when they they played a few Pantera tracks, it was shit. Zak and Charlie are more than up to the task to make this thing not suck.

People seem to forget Pantera was playing Van Halen and Kiss wannabe songs before Phil joined and wrote dozens of songs that changed the metal scene. There was a time when even Beavis and Butthead referred to Phil Anselmo as Pantera.

A reunion of friends is one thing. A reunion of friends honoring other friends and bandmates I will support 100%. But I am not onboard calling it a Pantera Reunion. Whatever they call it. I know that it will be a line of sold out shows. Just as long as they don't turn it into a cash grab or try to release a new album under the Pantera name.

reunion means orginal members. Example GNR is not a reunion as long as steven and izzy isnt there. I think a tribute or a celebration of is ok. but not a reunion
