Lightning in the south is no joke. I used to work with a girl that was struck by lightning WHILE CHILLIN IN HER HOUSE!! And I've had a tv die because we didn't unplug it. My uncle has been struck and survived.

the "bounce" effect is simply all your muscles contracting at the same time in a way that probably made him impulsively jump (out of his control)
theres been people struck by lightning that tears muscles straight off the tendons- like say their biceps and quads flexed super uncontrollably until the opposing muscles (triceps and hamstrings) get torn from the over-exertion 😮

I mean, i didn't, but i remember some people freaking out like that growing up down here and i thought it was what people did. Fun fact, my great uncle was struck by lightning and killed drunk playing golf and decided to wait out a storm under a tree. That wasn't part of the "turn everything off" lesson plan i guess

I had never seen where the lightning strikes the ground until I lived in the south. Lightning storms in the South are almost like watching fireworks. I had never seen anything like it.
