This channel is the definition of bittersweet. It's so fun and masterly crafted in its ridiculousness, however it has the schedule consistency of a blue bird.

What we did to the Wild Cabbage species is nothing short of what the Qu did to humanity after winning the war in All Tomorrows and it scares me that we are the only sentient species that we know of and we've genetically enslaved so many species of vegetables and animals

I love the Mayans and other indigenous Americans who domesticated corn/maize becaue they saw this stupid piece a' shit grain and went "Well we have literally nothing else to make into tortillas and/or bread, let's just stick with it for a good few generational decades and hope we can manhandle it into usefullness."

0:40 it took sam only 4 seconds to throw someone into the sun, covering a distance of 15 million km in 4 seconds equal to 3.75 million m/s or 12.5 times light speed, proving the academy is capable of researching travel beyond our comprehension of current physical limits.

what i wonder is why? why did the previous generations spend so much time and effort growing shitty plants, wouldnt they just grow what decent plants were already there? or were there no decent plants and so they grew what they could and bred them decent?
