Can Your Dreams Tell the Future?

Have you ever had a feeling that something big was going to happen, and then it does? A study by the American Psychological Association defines a precognitive dream as “a dream that seemingly includes knowledge about the future that cannot be inferred with by some prior knowledge.”. In other words, they’re visions of the future that do not draw on input from the five senses, memory or logic. How is this possible? Let’s learn the answer together.

    I had visions in my dreams. Only once in a great while. I had a vision of the vice president of the company and came and put a hundred dollar bill on all our desks for Christmas
    The next morn it happened. I wonder why that vision. I dreamt my car li lost control of the wheel and started skiding on the freeway and I saw a overpass. We'll three days later the same thing happened on the freeway I lost control of the wheel and there was a overpass. The wheel rolled off my car.

    Had these experiences a couple times. One i would like to share.

    A couple months ago i dreamt of a place with an over-ground parking garage. Each side had fencing, so no-one could fall off this building, but you could still see through a bit. Common so far. However this parking garage was located somewhere very rural, and in the bottom of it were shops. As the dream went on, i got to experience the surrounding area, somehow it stuck with me that there were two parallel paths close by. One was small and looked barely used, overgrown, while the other one was modern (clean, defined edges, more homogenous shade of gray). Also i saw some tall metal structures, which in the dream i thought, were power pylons.
    Today i saw a video about someone skiing down Mt. Everest. Made me think about hiking mountains, looked up highest mountains in germany (except for the alps). Found Feldberg. Never heard of it, plus it's very far from where i live. Wanted to know what it looks like there. Found a YT video of two girls hiking the Feldberg. Then it struck me. Same exact parking garage. Shops, those two parallel paths, and these "power poles" turned out to be lifts/gondolas. I know this is common architecture, especially in tourist places, but it immediately felt familiar, down to the smallest detail, even tho I've never been there. And definitely never watched that video before. It was one of those very vivid dreams.

    Yes, definitely. months or years into the future. Even today I realised a dream I had 20 years ago was shown to be the Vatican City catacombs. Knew it was ancient Rome & I could see a descending spiral staircase.

    I had this terrible vision when i was in 6th grade that I lost my grandfather and he was in blue shirt laying near by the gate and after exactly 1 day he died due to heart attack and he was wearing blue shirt …

    I had the most vivid dream last night about my young daughter cutting her hair and then low and behold she cut her hair today found on my bathroom floor just like in my dream definitely has me buzzed me out and what lead me to this video…

    What gets me is that I exist here and “now” while the chance of that happening is a gazillion to one against. It would be like winning the lottery a billion times in a row. Something weird is going on somewhere, but I’m not sure what it is?

    I'm almost 65 yrs old and had precognitive dreams since I was 3 yrs old up until I was about 35. Seldom after that. Unfortunately for me, I can't remember them ever being pleasant ones. Most of them were always " bad happenings" death, accidents, betrayal, etc . Therefore, I never considered this a gift.
    Why couldn't I dream of the upcoming lottery numbers darn it???

    So many even when I was little and I remember all of them I even remember the ones when I was like 1-2 years old, also I dreamt abt the k pop demon hunters 1 year before it came out guys I got a mental spoiler help-

    honestly im so invested in this bc i saw the future or whatever and it came true and also i cant tell the difference between this and lucid dreaming im not sure if i actually done it but it felt like it has so now like a curious little human i am wants to know more

    I do beleive there is really something creepy with dreams, my dreams have come true but in a weird way.
    Once i saw me being chased by a dinosaur size wild boar. That very same week i meet with an accident with a pig on my motorcycle. Few days back i board a running bus through a window. Ie i jump in window of a bus. Next day my car dies and i have to travel by bus, my first bus trip after a gap of almost 7 years. There are many such instances to jusy ignore as coincidences

    In my family most uf os can do it or my moms side can one time my cusin dreamet that a person would be driven over and killed and he went out the next day seeing the same man he talked too him a minut or two and the same car drove bye and the man safely walked over and some things happen too me too but not any emergencys my mom says if i dream of someone dying i need too say it too her

    saw my ex and him dating my bsf in my dream, came truw five to six months later. dreamt about seeing my crush in McDonald's,came true. dreamt about me and my bsf being the same section, came true. these are just my three fav ones, there have been do many more instances like this and sometimes even empty places, like just scenery, so that when i go to the olace irl i get deja vu

    I don't believe any of it and every story are pure fabrications to entertain, brainwash and distract the masses.

    Time is a concept and the only moment that's real in the present one.

    The past is memory and the future is imagination, both are cognitive anomalies, not temporal ones.

    I've experienced this a lot over recent years, but my precognitive dreams are usually just minor details or inconsequential things that echo in some way the following day but still leave me amazed. The message just seems to be reminding me that existence is more interesting and complex than what we see.

    One of the most vivid examples was a dream in which I randomly saw two small travel chess sets in boxes. That was all I remembered of the dream so I told no one about it but the following evening a friend showed me what he'd bought at the car boot sale that weekend – two small travel chess sets in boxes!!

    On another occasion there was repeated mention of Mont St Michel (which I've never visited) and then the following evening the same friend's wife told me they were going to France that weekend and planned to visit Mont St Michel!

    Even my more surreal, fantastical dreams have had weird echos afterwards. In one I was in a museum and encountered a group of large white marble statues of early 19th century admirals on plinths, one of which came to life, spoke my name and pointed at me commandingly. A while later I was looking through some photos online and stumbled across an image of a group of nearly identical figures in the Maritme Museum in Greenwich (which I've never visited), one of whom was pointing in the exact same way as the one I'd encountered.

    Sometimes weird aspects of films are echoed, in one particularly strange and vivid dream I encountered fearsome anthropomorphic bears at a remote military outpost in Russia. The following night my sister put on an animated film called Sing (which I knew little about beyond a singing pig being in it) and Russian bear villains turned up with almost identical design and voices and similar outfits.

    Another dream was more about parallel elements, when I met an African lady writer called Tamara George who'd lost her life's work when someone had stolen it , so all her creative writing had gone and I felt really bad for her. Next day I was at a friend's studio and an old neighbour of mine I'd not seen for a good 15 years turned up; he was a mural painter so I asked if he had his portfolio photo album to show my friend. He replied he sadly didn't as it had been in a car that got stolen and thus he'd lost all the photos of his life's work! (most of his work was in private homes that would be difficult to revisit). His name was George Lashmar, and having asked after his son I was told he'd gone to live in Africa!

    There have been lots of more minor ones and few seem to have any sort of message or warning, except one potentially warning about the Russian invasion of Ukraine as I seemed to be in a neighbouring country and the border kept getting moved nearer and nearer to me and the atmosphere turned so hostile I ended up fleeing by running along a motorway where the vehicles weren't able to move. The following week I saw a similar motorway on the news, clogged up with Russian armoured vehicles trying to reach Kyiv.

    It's been a while since I've had a precognitive dream now, but they are definitely real and I have no explanation for them (I just wish I could dream about useful things, like lottery numbers! 😉)

    thx u for making this video it really helped me understand what has happened to me over a month ago I liked this girl video what she made at the college I remember she told me and the college name ends with frog (keep that in mind) on the last day we had a roast dinner it was fun played some games talked what we were going to do when we get back we all said bye to each other that was on a Friday 2 days later I found the college video of that girl made I like her video didn’t think much of it I was off for 2 weeks but after that day I kelp seeing frogs no matter where I go or what I did I keep seeing frogs on the internet never use to see them one of the days I decided to have a break from the internet for a day and walk up to ikea when I was walking up I saw a frog hat on its own left there I said “Omg I can’t get away from that girl/collage” next day went back to play Roblox again I saw a other frog or that girl name
    some weeks later me and her got close together for like a week she knew I call her frog by cursing me
    But she didn’t believe me and laugh this is gets it more weird well about 2 days ago I had a dream about that girl I was in a shop looking for her tablets she walk in I said to her “sorry I didn’t find it I failed” she laugh and said “that’s ok.” then she hug me and kiss me saying “I love you” I said the same thing back pay up and we both walk out of the shop when I woke up it felt like someone did hug me I felt it against my chest what made me freak out is that she look like the older version of that girl in the college the same image I believe that was the future her the same girl that me and her make jokes about she cured even tho me and her are not together yet I still believe she’s my future girlfriend. Future dreams are real

    i always forget my dream when i wake up. its only in the future when the dream starts to take place i remember. i always try and change the outcome only for it to be a part of the premonition itself

    I am so scared.. the last night I dreamt about my marriage nd I'm just 16 😭 all my family are happy in my dream nd I'm so worried nd I don't wanna to marry nd I cry in my dream so much, then woke up 5am nd I tell to my sister nd she seen same dream she said to me I see you are married in dream…(Ohh God I don't wanna to marry) We had a same dream Im so scared 😭😭😭 nd in the age of 16 😭

    I'm a science nerd basically and would eat up anything relating to science. I even separate religion from science cause the both has their own stories. And apart from that, I don't believe in anything that violates the laws of physics. BUT we have something in our family as a generational gift or curse( that's how I like to address it) where we have dreams of future incidents and it's not some deja vu or something. Since young age I witnessed my parent's dreams take place exactly as they shared with the whole family I found it fascinating…. and from a certain age I also started having those dreams, I began sharing them with parents and noting them down as things happened exactly as I saw( BTW this was the longest I've ever wrote or shared) but ya it's a curse and a gift and ya they do show future( in our family so don't take it as a yes for your questions)

    I have been experiencing three years of precognitive dreams and all they are happening in the day to day life.One of the dream was;In my native place there was a disaster that rocks from the mountain rolled over and damaged the entire city,It all happens after 4 months.Now also I have dreams and that also happening.The dreams considered of layers and layers,if we enhance the mystery,we can make a try to understand it fully.

    I woke up on September 10 2001 from a nap screaming and in a panic attack. I was crying. In my dream I was looking up at the underside of a grey mushroom, almost Alice in Wonderland style. And I was just overwhelmed with a sense of fear and dread. I told my boyfriend at the time I didnt know why a grey mushroom was making me cry, until 2 weeks later and I saw footage on the news of the south tower collapsing from ground level a bit away from ground zero. It was the literal same view I had of the Grey mushroom in my dream. And all I could do was look at my boyfriend, point to the tv and say "that's the grey mushroom "

    I feel like this does happen to me, but I don't remember any of these dreams until they happen in real life and then I'm like 'woah, I swear I dreamt about this, I just only remember I dreamt about it now'

    Yes, for as long as I can remember, I seem to see things in my dreams that happens in real life. Sometimes, it’s just random things and I will see and hear it. For an example, like an image or someone saying something. Other times, it will be full on events and situations.. good and bad. It’s super weird. It happens randomly, I have no control over it. However, sometimes when I focused on a thought hard enough it will carry over to my dream and it will happened irl. A few hours ago, I took a nap and I seen this image randomly and when I woke up, I seen the same image immediately, when that’s not something I think about. It’s too early to say if the story attached will happen. I’m also really good at predicting things.. not everything but a lot of things I would feel it ahead of time and then it happens. Idk if that means anything or what’s up with me .. but I do know it’s more than a coincidence. I try not to think too much of it tho. I’ll drive myself bananas. 🤣

    I can only see things that i will see in the future. I record them as i dream them. So yes i try to make a record of every dream regardless. Some precognitive dreams can materialise in a few days. But i have had others which took 8 years. I have also found a form of validation, as my wife has the same gift and we have been in situations where the dream has materialised itself to us both at the same time. First time it happened was very weird but exciting. I try to use the gift as a guide to say that i am where i am supposed to be in life. Precognitions leave me with a delema of are all dreams potentially a precog of a path yet to be decided upon. Or are direct to a singular path I am destined to walk.
    I dont like to believe the latter, but i have no evidence to suggest otherwise. With this delema i recently dreamt i had gone to visit my ex who (in the dream) was going through a traumatic time in her life. After that dream over the next few weeks i did my best to reach out and check everything was ok which it was, but if it was a long term premonition, i wanted to give her some sort of warning. I didnt get the opportunity to explain. So it would seem. I never will get to visit her or change her course from going toward that trauma. Much like the precog i had when i was with her of her with her future husband. I did everything to be with her but it just wasn't going to work. And she met him 3 years after we split. As did i meet my wife 3 years after. A girl i had seen premonitions of 8 years prior.

    In the Holy Quran there is a story of the Prophet Joseph telling his father about a vision he had in a dream that there were eleven planets and the sun and the moon prostrating to him. He was a child at the time, so his father told him not to tell his dreams to his brothers because they envy him for their father’s love for him and feel their hatred and resentment towards Joseph. Then they kidnapped Joseph and threw him into the well and came crying to their father and said the wolf ate him while we were unaware of him. The passersby picked him up and took him to a minister in Egypt, so he bought him from them as a servant.

    Joseph, peace be upon him, was very handsome and beautiful. The full story is in Surah "Joseph" In THE HOLY QURAN.

    At the end of the story of Joseph, peace be upon him, his eleven brothers, along with his father and mother, prostrated to him after he became the ruler of Egypt and God bestowed His blessings upon him and the vision he had seen as a child came true.

    I have had lots of precognitive situations a few were Dreams others were Just feelings i know were true. Lats example was about 2 months ago. A friend of mine died that they and in the months prior to it i already was sure he would die. I Just had the feeling he would.

    You can all believe what you wish but it is possible iv had it happen to me multiple times in my life.. and it boggles my mind everytime the thing happens… it feels like EXTREME deja Vu
