Originally. Die Hard was supposed to be a sequel to.the movie The Dettective because the book it was based on, Nothing Lasts Forever. was a direct sequel to The Detective novel. Frank Sinatra was even contractually obligated to get the first offer to star because he starred in The Detective. When he turned down the offer, it became a separate movie.

Thanks for the video. If you're still taking requests for videos, I'd like to suggest Godzilla from 1998. Another Godzilla movie will be releasing this year, so it would be a nice companion release.

A family drama takes place on Christmas Eve. The husband and wife are estranged at the beginning. They work through adversity to restore their relationship. What could be more Christmas than that? It even includes an awesome soundtrack of Christmas music.

Uhhh the fix of the plot hole about incompent LAPD and later FBI, is that its hollydays and the experenced compent people are on vaction. Something Hans planned for, so only those inexeprced desk jokies or arrogarnt loose cannons about to be pushed out will be on duty. The movie stress how much Hans planned for all evnetualities and the point of doing it on Chrismass eve.

It’s a Wonderful Life isn’t about Christmas either, but you’re cracked if you don’t think it’s a Christmas movie. I honestly don’t know why people try to claim Die Hard is not a Christmas movie.

" what kind of company has a Xmas party on Xmas eve"…. Bro, literally every company whose CLOSED on Xmas typically does something on Xmas eve. You telling me Ryan ain't never had a regular job before YouTube?😂

I love how devious YouTube is now, putting a clickable ad popup where you go to click the comments so that you accidentally hit a website link and they can tell their advertisers that it's working lol

To where i can put my suggestions about movies? You must make one from Copycat (1995). It literally has the worst police force on this planet!

Love your shows .. BUT 😉 I feel compelled to defend this action thriller, the first and best of the genre. About the only thing that doesn't age well, is the incredibly dumb, Deputy Police Chief. Obviously written as a foil to Sgt Al Powell.
One thing I thought you might take a shot at (🙄) was our hero's seemingly superhuman power to fall, what felt like 20 ft down a shaft, and grab hold of a small vent opening .. AND pull himself in. Both those actions, I'm sure, are just not possible. But I give them a pass, as it's a terrific thriller otherwise, and the motivations for other scenes you mention, make sense to me. 😊👍.

To be fair, Argyle didn’t know anything was happening until the police had the building surrounded, and at that point they definitely would’ve lit him up if he ran through the gate. Honestly it was pretty risky of him to do it when he did. John stopped Al from capping him. but he’s just lucky none of the other cops were jumpy on the trigger.
