So do you believe that pleasure is the meaning of life in a sense that, an ultimate goal of a benevolent god should be pleasure? Instead of a climax it should be a plateau? If that’s the case then yes I believe suffering could validate the Demiurge. However if you are not Hedonistic, then that would mean you have to agree with god in that suffering must be a necessary evil.
