Forests produce more oxygen per square foot.
While marine microorganisms produce roughly 70% of the world's total oxygen, they are spread across 71% of the planet's surface. Forests occupy a much smaller area but have high concentrations of large, dense photosynthetic biomass.

For those who are curious: bacteria (sp. cyanobacteria) are much more efficient than trees per unit biomass at producing oxygen* (as according to Gemini, but also kind of emperically obvious if you consider that the total biomass of bacteria is significantly less than that of trees)

Past midnight and utterly exhausted. Trying to think of a cloud pun but all I got is "omg I'm gonna cumulus all over your nimbus" yeah, it's a bad joke and I should feel bad.

if we consider a drop of blood in a sphere with a volume of 10 billion drops (1 part per 10 billion), that would be a radius of 1336.5 drops, and assuming the average "drop" is around 2mm in diameter, that would give a distance of 8 feet and 9.24 inches (2.67 meters) in front of the shark to be detected

regarding “lightning doesn’t strike in the same place twice”: i’ve actually heard it more to mean to seize opportunities because they won’t happen again. SOOOO your correction actually ends up being positive!

we cannot survive on this planet with only oxygen made by oceans. especially with us destroying oceans with permits and fun touching of corals. The world is about to change forever. that space comet parked itself by Jupiter. The gods are coming.

the original saying is "a bomb/shell doesn't hit the same place twice".. which is statistically somewhat true, but in the case of lightning the reason is ionization.. Ionization drastically reduces the resistance of the air and the first strike also ionizes the conduit for the next.. so it absolutely not true for lightnings..

Knew a kid who had a brown recluse crawl into his mouth while asleep and bite the back of his throat. The necrosis from the bite caused him to have to go through minor surgery.

no one believes the lightning its just an old saying.
watch the 2nd be "trees dont produce much oxygen" this is also well known most oxygen is produced by algea and bacteria in the sea. What trees do however is move air around, and release water vapour. So it is still very important
3rd: Could be believeable but ive never seen a spider in my apartment ever in 20 years. So everyone with critical thinking can rule this one out pretty easily. Ig if you slept in the jungle on the ground it could be a possibility but spider would avoid you to begin with so very unikely
4th: This is not something people believe either, never even heard this one. Animals see different colors to us while some see more, fewer or different colors.
5th this is the only one people probably have believed. But yea this one is also easily bebunkable since you can use any color, its mostly just movement.

Is our generation that far gone that we need YouTube to explain lightning to us? as an elder Gen Z I’m appalled. Not once was I told lightning never strikes the same spot twice, I was however told that you never win big at the casino twice in one night. Pack er up n head home

When I hear "lightning never strikes twice" I think of that one dude who got struk by lightning like two or three times in a row. Was struck, hid in his vehicle, came out when he thought he was good and got struck again. Don't remember how true that was but that would be one unlucky guy

This is actually wild because it shows how confident we all are about things we’ve never questioned once. Some of these “facts” aren’t just wrong — they’ve been repeated so often they feel untouchable.
