Iron Maiden goes ALL IN in 2026… but there is a catch!

Metal Pilgrim | January 7, 2026

After months of speculations and rumors, Iron Maiden stopped teasing their fans and finally announced the continuation of their Run For Your Life tour for 2026, on which, before making it a truly world run, Iron Maiden will once again return to Europe. So now that we got all the official information, including the very special UK headline gig, which was announced separately from the tour, let’s take a look at what Iron Maiden will bring with them on the road in 2026, discuss the complete phone ban and the future live DVD, and then talk about the announced break and what it may mean for Iron Maiden’s future. Here you go.

Knebworth is going to have two other Arena's, a whole Maiden Festival, from the map EDDIES DIVE TOWN looks like a mad max type thing. And INFINITE DREAMS EXPERIENCE. Which not sure what that is yet. I guess Ozfest or Knotfest vibes?

Sorry, but I totally agree with a ban on phones at gigs. Ghost was brilliant with no screens lit up everywhere. It was like being back in the 80s when I started going to concerts. All bands should ban phones.

Everyone mentions dvd but it has to be blu ray or 4k to even vaguely capture the background screen quality from the tour. They haven’t put a show on physical media in over a decade, even if they’ve filmed it they will likely just stream it

These motherfuckers are going to release a live album of this lame tour and not the last tour with the songs from Somewhere In Time that people have been waiting for almost 40 years. Harris, I HATE YOU. We already had to put up with them not releasing a live album from AMOLAD, when it was such a "good" album, according to them, that they played the whole thing live… Seriously, I'm never going to another Iron Maiden concert. They're dead in my eyes. Iron Maiden RIP 2025

You think your 50th anniversary tour can be covered with the first 8 albums (of a 17-discography) + Fear of the Dark? That's a fucking shame!

So our Metal Summer includes the gigs in Athens, Sofia and Paris with Metallica in Budapest in between. Maybe we visit a South America gig in the autumn because I never been there and die DVDs of South America gigs are epic. I think it is not easy to catch the whole spirit of a concert on a DVD because it is the complete surrounding, the weather, the personal memories how you travel there, wich hotel, etc. that makes a concert memorabel. We did that this year with Manowar and visited the gigs in Bamberg, Tallinn, Iceland and London and we will never forget all those aspects and naturally the concerts. Up the irons.

You can tell this guy is a spoiled brat millennial. He says it is discriminatory to ban phones at a concert because he has kids. Or someone who has health issues. That's a total load of BS. I have been going to concerts since the early 80s. We never needed a f**king phone with us. Just a lighter and a few spliffs😆 If we had kids we got baby sitter and said we wont be reachable for a few hours. We would leave easy emergency instructions with the baby sitter until we return. And health issues never created any problem in my day either. And there wasn't as many EMS crews everywhere like there is now. If you are worried about your health. Bring a friend who knows your heath issues to help out the EMS in an emergency. Besides there are emergency response teams everywhere at concerts and events nowadays. Iron Maiden is right leave the dam cell phone in the car. Watch the dam concert and enjoy the show with your own eyes, not holding your stupid phone up at the show blocking everyone's view. If your just going to watch the concert through the backscreen of your phone . Just stay home save some money and just stream it. I never could understand why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars to watch a live show through the dam phone. Your missing point of being at a live show experience. It's so post 90s to do that dumb sh*t.🤣 Grow up all you spoiled brats.

Just got my ticket for the Amsterdam gig! Unfortunately completely forgot about it earlier today, so could only get a less than ideal seat. But after the Arnhem concert a few months ago (my first Maiden concert despite listening to them since the 80s!) there was just no way I was not gonna go again….As much as I loved the show, I do hope they do at least a few changes to the setlist, they just have too many great songs to stick to the exact same. But we'll see about that.

Got my ticket for Paris. Always been a bucket list goal of mine to be at a show that becomes a live album. Saw them opening night in Budapest and at London stadium last year so the phone ban doesn’t bother me. I should mention they aren’t banned in the stands just frowned upon

If I buy a ticket, £130 BTW, I'm recording a memory for personal use.

No plea, no sign, no ban, no security, no fellow fan will stop me. Try.

Old geezers just don't want vids to appear on YT for free when they have that live DVD planned.
