Daoism views the ideal human existence as one that relates strictly to nature and the Universe. It stresses that to truly live well, we must be in harmony with nature, and not fight it. According to the Laozi, the Dao, or way of nature, refers to the energies and vibrations of natural matter. And how we connect to and are affected by those energies and vibrations is the practice of Daoism.
So how do we find Dao? And, more importantly, is finding Dao the key to a peaceful life?

This is in fact NOT the definition of Daoism. This is the Western false interpretation which is unfortunately so prevalent. THE WAY in Daoism is completely malleable and up for interpretation in how to practice it. It's only tenants are to be at peace with yourself and everything around you. Technology isn't anti nature, that's also a false western interpretation resultant from Westerners complete lack of the ability to comprehend progress without killing and death.

Sustainable progress and technology has been done in the East for centuries before the West forced them to be like them. Sustainably cutting down a tree to build beautiful artefacts or learn to mold a living tree into such objects are all possible and sustainable. The Western mind can't comprehend the Dao because it's already completely filled with the opposite and the very idea of emptying that opposite energy is completely incomprehensible to MOST.

I things Aperture misintrepert Taoism cause you clearly dont study it a lot.

in Taoism their is principle of Yi, which is change, everything need to adapt to the changes of time, thats why there is book of Changes is the I Ching.

I really want to tell you the details but it takes too much words, i already have the text in the noted pad but is too long, you said you can still tell a little but the explanation is interconnected if i explain C you need to understand A and B first something like that. Otherwise you can argue if i dont explain the whole things, if i explain the whole things i guarantee you will hard to find loopholes in the entire argument, unless there is someone who is willing to listen i will give you full text.

And none of these things are truly good. They may seem good, but we are destroying the planet. If we were one with nature, we’d accept things the way they are, and live a life that isn’t so complicated. The movie “The gods must be crazy” is a great example. The coke bottle, while seemingly useful, causes more problems than it fixes. The fact that we did things like go to space, create technology, all that is good from one perspective, but terrible from another. I’m sure that if in the future, The Earth itself falls apart, we won’t think, well at least we went to space and made cell phones.

Could it be argued that the advancement of Humanity still falls within the yin/yang paradigm, but only on a larger scale? Everything in the Universe is happening according to pre-existing causes, so maybe on a scale of the Earth/larger timescale we are undergoing an imbalance in Yin/Yang. Possibly the idea of a new consciousness, talked about by Eckhart Tolla could restore the balance to an increasingly disconnected society that is alienated from both nature and each other.

Love this video. Appreciate it's perspective. To me, Tao would encompass our Yang dominant culture. The balance is/will happen regardless, the trick in my opinion is to be the wave that slows instead of be hit by the wave that crashes, as a human species.

Everyone has their own Dao. It’s not that you try to live as passively as you can with the adherence of biological nature. But you try to live in tune with yourself. Your Dao might stir you into becoming a politician, or maybe your Dao is to be a survival expert. Striving for something is not anti-Dao. For the plants themselves reach towards the light and break through concrete.
Daoism is attuning to your own nature. Not to the outside nature. I think I lot of people make that mistake about Daoism.

Or that’s how I understand it anyway. Lol. It’s philosophy, it’s never concrete on anything.

The path to peaceful and harmoious coexistence of all beings look so simple but for mileinium human still fighting over idealogical and territorial differences. When can humanity be awaken to this great existential wisdom ☯️?

I love loving by the ebb and flow of nature. I love discovering things in my own backyard and the way my dog smells. I read a book some years back that helped me slow down and appreciate so much. This video was like a refresher. ❤

Love the video. But the pronunciation of Lao Zi is being butchered. You got the Lao correct, but Zi is pronounced more like Tseh, not Zee. You end up making the name sound like you're saying lousy, which is of course not appropriate. Keep it up with the great vids, it's a shame this one has so few views. Flow is attainable through meditation. I have been fortunate to experience this after much practice. I have sat and meditated in complete stillness, thoughtless, and it was bliss. Time went by like nothing I've ever experienced. What felt like maybe 5 minute was nearly an hour.
