Let me just give a shout out to a song that's probably not very well known to many people, but I love – Thursday by Morphine, from their excellent 1993 album Cure For Pain. It's a bluesy, smoky story of an extra-marital affair which takes place every Thursday afternoon. If you don't know it, check it out. Treat yourself!

Daddy’s gonna pay for your crashed car…
at the end, rhymes off all the days.
It ain’t in the title, but that part of the song is hypnotic.

Really enjoyed this video, and especially your humor, which is always appreciated. I love "Tuesday Afternoon-" I used to play keyboards in a prog band, and we covered this song and I always relished the opportunity to play it. Three songs which I think are excellent but weren't mentioned are "Sunday Papers," by Joe Jackson, "Another Park, Another Sunday," by The Doobie Brothers, and "My Sunday Feeling," by Jethro Tull. Also worth mentioning, although maybe not as top choices, would be "Sunday Sun," by Neil Diamond- classic era sound, and from the same time period, "Saturday's Child," by The Monkees (I used to listen to that entire debut album beginning to end as a kid).

This throws up some great ideas Barry. How about a long weekend kicking off with Them – Friday's Child; Richard and Linda Thompson – Saturday Rolling Around; The Monkees – Pleasant Valley Sunday; John Mayall with Eric Clapton – Stormy Monday Blues. Then back to work.

This is another fun one. Had to think about it. Tough to pick the best for each day but I thought I would throw a few out there.

Sunday: Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2, Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon by Queen, My Sunday Feeling by Jethro Tull
Monday: Manic Monday by The Bangles, New Moon On Monday by Duran Duran, Monday Monday by The Mamas and The Papas
Tuesday: Ruby Tuesday by The Rolling Stones, Tuesday's Dead by Cat Stevens, Love You Till Tuesday by David Bowie
Wednesday: A Wednesday Car by Johnny Cash
Thursday; Thursday by The Pet Shop Boys
Friday: Friday, I'm In Love by The Cure, Friday Let Me Down by Hall and Oates, Get Em Out By Friday by Genesis
Saturday: Another Saturday Night by Cat Stevens, Saturday's Alright by Elton John, High N Dry Saturday Night by Def Leppard

If you want to take a couple of songs that bring up most or all of the days of the week you got to go with Girl Loves Me by David Bowie and The Diary Of Horace Wimp by ELO

The Sunday song that best describes that feeling for me is Sunday Morning Coming Down by Johnny Cash.
"Well I woke up Sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt".
How many times have we all been through that, and not even from drinking?

And one song to cover all the days of the week, although not exactly fitting in to this particular presentation, Seven Days by Sting, a fun tune about an ultimatum from a lover.

If you're in a masochistic mood I could recommend Friday by Rebecca Black as probably the worst abomination ever set to music and I have often found myself in affinity with first lines of Billy Joel's Captain Jack ("Saturday Night and you're still hanging around, You're tired of living in your one horse town") and of course there's the wonderful Wednesday Morning 3am by Simon and Garfunkel.

What an inspired video. I often find myself singing the Moodies' Tuesday Afternoon on a Tuesday (although Ruby Tuesday does run it close). Yes to the Bangles (Monday), The VU (Sunday), Elton (Saturday) and The Cure (Friday). I would also include the super catchy Undertones track Wednesday Week. However, we need more songs about Thursday! 😉

I enjoy these videos Barry, you get the old grey matter going lol! Ok, so I couldn't manage a full week, but these 3 songs immediately came to mind for a weekend list:
Friday on my Mind – The Easybeats
    Saturday – Fickle Pickle
    Sunday Morning – Margo Guryan
