Is Morrissey’s Behaviour Unforgivable?!

Justin Hawkins Rides Again | November 19, 2025

Morrissey is in trouble again after cancelling his show mid-set because he felt “too cold”. Is this unforgivable? Or is it his right to refuse to play in conditions that don’t suit his needs? Tell me where you stand in the comments.

What is unforgivable is the haters, who manufacture and or deliberately misrepresent him.

He is entitled to his own opinions. He is intelligent and is basically a good human being with an introspective and reclusive personality.

    Leave him alone.

I will always be true to Mozz.

I love Morrissey and have seen him live twice. ( desperately hoping he wouldn't cancel each time, lol). But, just from the clips he looks a little uneasy. Don't forget he was getting deaththreats AND NO ARENA IS GOING TO SAY THE SHOW IS OVER BECAUSE OF DEATH THREATS.

53 degrees Fahrenheit is pretty cold. for an older guy, I can see this being cold for Morrissey. If he was 28 he would have had no problem. I don't know if they can heat that whole stage area but 53 is cold

I have tickets to see him in Ottawa Canada in Sept. luckily it also includes the pogues, James, indigo girls, drop kick murphys, Melissa etheridge., down with Webster. So I’m thinking it’s a 50-50 if he shows.

This post is 2 years old so Morrissey was what 62/63? He has some health issues one I'm aware of is Barrett's Esophagus and he might say it's the cold but it is something else. He doesn't have to share his medical issues with the world. I find it odd you'd even post a video like this given you called the UK public 'racist or stupid' when you lost Song For Europe in 2012. Couldn't be because the public didn't like your song or anything?

If you’re a vegan the smell of cooking meat is absolutely revolting. You won’t get it unless you’re vegan. He should insist on vegan friendly food retailers at his gigs.

YOU cancelled a gig in Liverpool, I worked at, because of a party the night before in Glasgow as I recall…🙄

I think what somebody produces and who they are are two separate things and the public that mix the two are misguidedly thinking that they know the artist and the artist knows them

    Just my 2p!

Morrissey is based and a real English man. He will look back in anger and all those people complaining about his stance should get some moral courage. Suicidal empathy is nothing to be proud of. Morrissey knows this and states it clearly. English men should be proud of him and use him as a touchstone for moral guidance, courage and greatness.

Edit :- As an Irish man I have always loved Morrissey and the Smiths. The name Morrissey is derived from the Gaelic name Ó' Muirgheasea, it was then Anglicised to Morrissey.
In Gaelic the name Morrissey is interpreted as "sea valour" or "choice of the sea". These are the name roots, he is of course an English man and you should be very proud of him.
