By the way, as a Muslim on the Sufi path, I have infinitely more respect for atheists like yourself who are open to different viewpoints than Salafi fundamentalists who despise us (along with Hindus, Jews, free thinkers, queers and so many others). "Wine" in Sufi poetry may actually be a euphemism for "magic mushrooms". Psychedelic medicines are Entheogens, which is from Greek meaning "activating the divine within". The way Sufis got so deep may be attributed to many paths.

Sufism is a spiritual practice which exists in every religion. Derived from the Arabic word "Safaa" meaning purity, clarity. Sufism ideology have some direct contradiction with Quranic teachings of concept of God.

I can't be the only one here thinking that the comparison of god and the creation to a projector at 1:19:51 is kind of similar to Plato's so called "allegory of the cave".

Koran says that god is unlike anything but yet he has hands he has his chair'crown', he has leg, he come every night to the first sky, he feels like humans feel attempt feel injured by human deed and the list is endless. Islam is full of contradictions

Bro, if you ever think of having someone on your show again to talk about an islamic topic then please please please get Dr. Jeffrey Lang on. He's a mathematician, he was an atheist and after he converted he wrote "struggling to surrender" i think the best book about islam i've ever read ! There are also online lectures of him from years ago. I would love to see you and him having a conversation.

Stop cherry picking and talking about Muslim sects that isn't popular nor is it considered a Muslim sect by definition by the majority of the Muslim scholars/communities. Delve into Sunni Islam and let me know how you will be a smartass there with your cherry picks. The fact that it been forever for you since you last talked about Islam and now you just pick Sufism shows how much of a hypocrite you are actually. Deal with the majority group and stop looking for easy (rejected by Muslims) excuse of a sect.

I'm a gnostic that is very intrigued by sufism & I have a profound respect for sufism. The Majdhub is one thing I very much personally relate too, specifically in regards to my own experiences.
