Elon Musk: “He’s A Cry-Baby!”

Justin Hawkins Rides Again | November 10, 2025

I wasn’t sure how to feel about this news story that Elon Musk has called one of my favourite artists Trent Reznor a “cry-baby”. What is happening in the world right now? Let’s discuss this but in relation to us music folk. What are your thoughts on all these spats, feuds and takeovers?

Thanks for @LoudwireMusic for the video: https://youtu.be/CWYfp8SYMZs

Elon is mentally ill. People around him should be getting him help. He’s probably surrounded be yes men. Too scared to call him out on his BS. 10+ years ago I thought he’d save the world. I think the opposite now.

If anyone has heard Pretty Hate Machine (released in 1989!) and songs like Head Like a Hole – this isn’t really surprising in any way. Trent is actually being quite cordial here. He would actually die rather than give Elon control.

I worked at the same company for 15 years. I transferred locations to a very toxic place for my last three years.

I ended up getting fired, and when I walked in to the office I felt a huge sense of relief knowing I would no longer have to deal with it.

I realized after 2 days unemployed that I was not waking up with a sense of dread, I wasn't staying in bed until the last possible moment, I wasn't troubled by the queasy stomach that came from stress. I realized how much I had compromised my own mental health to work at a job that paid relatively well. Never again.

I wish more non-woke common sense celebs would follow suit with Kurt Russell or Sly Stallone…both who have largely avoided social media. Kurt even said he doesn't believe in social media, no matter what side where it originates. That's a good man there. Those are hard to come by these days. A very damned rare thing.

If Trent Reznors mental health pivots on weather D Trump is on Twitter or not, Then he should get some mental help. Not being snide here,. That is a serious indication of an unhealthy mind.

What is more dangerous than allowing Trump or Biden to voice thier opinions on twitter or anywhere. Is not allowing them to speak because you don’t agree with them . America was founded on the principles (first amendment being paramount to the idea and purpose of America) that it was to be the distinct Eason of freedom and opportunity that it has been. What erodes that is people that do not like the American ideal trying to tear it down. If you prefer England or China, or Zimbabwe. Stay in those places and be happy. Don’t mess with America.

I also don’t care if Trump is on or not on Twater. But I do care about the fundamentals of the democratic system. A vote is based on a majority. 51 is larger than 49. If you accept democracy over dictatorship, interesting note about the vote is, the majority of twitter users are dems and the vote still came out with free speech yes. Even if it was Trump and his big grotesque mouth.

Anyone who leaves social media is great however Twitter has been a cesspool long before Musk bought it. Its a shame that all these celebs only decide to leave once its not the safe left wing environment they've formed. Once free speech is allowed they cant handle it. Trent has become part of the woke society, hes everything he would've hated in the 90s, he himself is a white straight man who according to todays woke society has had an easy ride in life. He should remember his main audience back in the day was disillusioned young men who still feel exactly the same today.

PSST: The Muskrat is a narcissist…which means he has a perpetual victim mentality (or is a crybaby as you call it). Full-blown narcissistic personality disorder.

I've idolized Trent since I was a teenage girl. I wish he would stay out of politics and just make more music. He has started to sound like a bitter old man in the past 8 years or so. He is still my favorite musician of all time, but he speaks as if he's one of us. He is one of the elites. If he had to live like us poor people (once middle class, and getting poorer by the day) he might have a new outlook. Like 90% of celebrities, Trent's opinion is clouded by money and power. I still love Trent, but only as a musician.

So heres the thing. Im a big fan of Reznor's music, but its silly for anybody to act like Twitter was such a great place BEFORE Musk bought it. It was and still is a cesspool. The Twitter Files have also shown that Twitter WASNT being fair in the way it policed and censored speech and Musk trying to correct that is somehow being taken as a bad thing. Celebrities and musicians are grandstanding because they dont like his perceived political beliefs.

Here's a quote for you Justin from Nick Cave….. " twitter is just a factory for making assholes"…. I won't go near twitter myself.
    Love your channel…brilliant stuff !!

It's about free speech and one thing I will say is that Elon silencing Ye proved free speech is dead. Doesn't matter if you agree with Ye or not because it's about free speech. I don't give AF about Trent even though I've seen him in concert before and I can't stand a hypocrite which is what Trent proved. The fact that we can have the freaking Tailban using Twitter but not Trump is all anyone needs to know. The fact that the fbi censored people and Dr. Fauci's daughter was working for Twitter up until 2018 is a major red flag when we have children dying every single day because they lied about the jab. Don't care what anyone thinks about my comment because my comment contains facts vrs your feelings.

Man, ive been a big nails fan for over 25 years now. Trent's a man that counted on free speech to be be as controversial as he was. Now he's all hollywooded out with these leftist agendas. I'm sorry, he's a grown man, and to be so sensitive at his age is ridiculous. He's even bullied other artists to use their platform to influence their fans. He's no different, it's to bad…still the best musician in my opinion tho

There must be a dead Twitter account related to my email address. Never used it, never got into it. Isn´t it something like Tik-Tok for pseudo-intellectuals? By that reaction, Elon showed, what a toxic person he indeed is and I hope as many people as possible leave Twitter. I´d love to see Elon sitting alone in his new virtual palace, empire, whatever.

Trent Reznor is being careful not to be seen to jump on the faux virtue signalling hysteria we are seeing with Elons take over of Twitter! Some people really hate equality of expression and other peoples freedom of speech.

Twitter is a place where people manufacturer their profiles around whatever it is they do, that subsequently becomes their alter ego that the have to protected because most people on twitter are actually low key competing against each other. So you have a load of people who are on their purely for selfish reasons and then you throw in an algorithm that is designed to show you content it know you will engage with, which for the most part happens to be content that makes argue furiously, and there you have it. A lot of ego centric mediocre people arguing over stuff that doesn't really exist.

The solution to twitter is literally just having self awareness of why you're on there on purpose, and if it's a negative motive, don't use it. Simple.

I like Justin more and more. I really appreciated his take on everyone involved.
Trent "cry baby" Resner doesn't have to play if doesn't want to.
    Elon isn't the devil incarnate.
And if you don't like a thing, person or idea then don't participate.
If you don't wanna see what Trump thinks, then block him.
You should always have the freedom to associate with whom you like. You should always have your speech be free so long as it's not threatening violence or defrauding, defaming anyone.
And any large group of people working feverishly to silence dissenting ideas has never been the good guy in any story in history.
    Hitler, Mao, Stalin, McCarty hearings.
Let dumb people have their dumb ideas.
