Alternative and better answer for the riddle, 'a box with no hinges, latch or lid, inside a golden treasure is hid,' is ashtray. My gut feeling is that egg is there for the addition of yolk or yoke to the joke, and perhaps a han solo joke that only the joke's hecking creator would get.

I love it! When Julie gets high, she becomes part cat. She experiences her hair as being not part of herself. Gillian the cat has the same attitude toward the tip of her tail. High Julie is way more interesting than I or anyone I've met while high.
