The Unknown of Everything

Pursuit of Wonder | September 22, 2025

When seeking wisdom and purpose in life, we tend to consider what is ‘known’ as the primary source. However, a perhaps equally helpful and potent source might be found in the opposite; what we don’t know.

The quote "You are the universe experiencing itself" can be interpreted in a few ways:😊

You are a unit of consciousness

You are an atemporal unit of consciousness, or you are living in a virtual reality suit.

You are made up of more than just human

You are made up of human, bacterial, and viral "stuff".

    The universe is using you

The universe is using you to create more beautiful things, not in a malevolent way, but similar to how a river flows.

    You are a witness

You are a witness through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory and magnificence.

    "Spirit of the unknown "?
People can't even agree on what the term Spirit means. Let's not even think about the idea of the "spirit of the unknown." What the heck are you even talking about? I think you are just making stuff up.😅

Uh yes, skepticism. The resting place of human reason in which it can reflect on its own dogmatic wanderings. But how does one propose any proposition if it requires absolute certainty?

Been watching your videos since about middle school and I’m about to turn 20. I’ve said it many times before but thank you for the videos you put out. These videos are my every single thought put into a few minutes of commentary. Life is beautiful and I hope you keep sharing knowledge and love for as long as you can✌️

We don't require the meaning of life (from the universe) , when we recognise that the focus of our souls gives that meaning to any given moment. The meaning we seek is available to us because of the value we place on what we experiance .The universe will never give us answers because it simply cannot. But , we can find those answers, when we stop looking in the wrong place. We are not the universe contemplating itself .We are a just chink of light defying an eternal darkness in a way that no-one will know about when millions of years pass .The best we can hope for is a quality of life and and respite from its difficulties through thoughts that pander to our need for hope.

"We can chase perfection and certainty which, of course, do not exist"
Cogito ergo sum. Descartes would say that, because you can even contemplate this, you can have this one certainty: you exist. I would wager there's at least a couple more if you search diligently. I don't know how useful they are, but amidst life's sea of infinite uncertainty, they are absolute treasures.

Nice, so there has to be the unknown to have the known, like we have to have life to have death, night to have day, black to have white, sound to have silence…
