5 Influential Alt Rock Bands from the 1990s
In this video, I look back at the mid to late 1990s when I was a teenager and in high school. During that time, I became obsessed with discovering new music. In this list, I look at the 5 bands that were most influential in sparking this passion.

It's crazy how much music changed from the 90s to the 2010s. Was in high school early 2010s but because of streaming services my potential to explore music was virtually limitless. Even with all that ability to explore, it was music from the 90s that ended up informing my taste. Mellon Collie and Siamese dream were all that I would listen to as I rode my bike, before I even had my drivers license, to my girlfriends house during autumn. Galaxie 500 accompanied my many ski trips and early morning commutes to school. Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club introduced me to The Brian Jonestown Massacre which has remained a large part of my life. The Red House Painters empathized with the unavoidable melancholic moments that are part of growing up.
