i think cranston is more than an actor when heโ€™s on a set. heโ€™s a collaborator. he has ideas that the directors respect and use. he seems to have a true understanding of visual storytelling

    Actors are clowns, not historians.

This is a clown talking, a skilled clown – not a person who can embody a great leader.

Never forget that. He is nothing more than a pretender clown.

I feel like his portrayal as Hal is up there and as legendary as Homer Simpson. He's just as lovable, funny, devoted to his family and mischievous as Homer. He really is a brilliant actor.

You can really see how he is able to embody so many different characters, so well, here. Some actors, just go in and act. And thatโ€™s fine and many are great – and the roles they play are often very similar, and kinda just them playing themselves, over and over. But with Bryan you can really see how acting for him is a craft. He puts thought and care into developing a character, deciding all the things that influence and become who that person is, and then putting all those little touches, and inflections on, and truly becoming the character. Completely brilliant.

I'm so grateful that Malcolm in the Middle didn't have an eighth season. Due all my respect, Walter White is his best character and shows his incredible talent.
I loved Malcolm in the Middle when I was a child. But Breaking Bad is on a whole new level.

Every single character he plays, he not only strives to understand the character and their deepest cores, he also gives suggestions and makes changes to embody them even better. You can tell he has a deep passion for his craft and heโ€™s not afraid to step on toes if he thinks it can better the scene or character
