I studied at Second City in Chicago back in the 80s. After a few years Bob odenkirk took me very gingerly by the hand, and said, "Melody I'm afraid we just don't hire women writers. This is a boy's club". I gritted my teeth and I held my tongue. I just wish I would have dug my heels in more and protested.

Jane Wickline is really, really, really overrated. I wouldn’t mind if Jane had musical skill or quality comedy writing. Its just bad.

I Kinda love that Birbigs basically invented stream of consciousnesser Jack Handey on the spot. Something about it reminded me of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown but i can't figure out what it was

love this episode, the songs are fire and the working it out part really feels like a brainstorming sesh this time. also so sweet they ask for a pen to write down mike's feedback
