F.D. my brutha. You and Anansi are wrong. Why would we (black people) help the Latino community harm us? We cared about them fully in and prior to November. A very large number of people cared so much about Palestinian lives that they couldn't let themselves vote to protect OUR best interest. I wholeheartedly do not feel that we should support the Anti-Blackness of other communities of people. I very much still love them, but I'm VERY fine with them living out the consequences of their votes. Why am I wrong?

I would like to remind everyone that Unc FD accurately predicted that Elon and Trump would end up fighting, around the time of election, I doubted that at that time but the prediction became true, just wanted to mention that

mexican american here. two things, i dont think it was necessarily smart to bring a self proclaimed "anarchist" to talk about what a lot of the public perception is labelling as anarchy. (doesn't discredit what he says! just is not a good reflection of the actual ideology of most protestors)
two, there are black folk that hold the idea of "not my fight, a lot of latinos are racist", and i definitely understand that. i appreciate anyone who is out there protesting with my community, but i also respect those that don't want to risk their wellbeing by engaging in an aggressive physical space with police. that being said, i think it is a lil selfish to hold that belief, especially since this is occurring mainly in LA, a city that is enriched by black-brown unity, but is also plagued by racism from both black people and mexican americans targeted at eachother. not one sided. i say that to highlight that these are citizens protesting. mexican americans born in the US.

i am not black, so i cannot fully give my opinion on issues that i've seen that are prevalent within black american communities, but i think that refusing to engage in the fight for basic human rights because it is not a "collective black interest" is letting your community, and ultimately the color of your skin, define what you should and should not do. it is not the burden of black americans to fight for us and our people, but if you believe what you are seeing is wrong, then you should fight for what you believe. yall lmk if im trippin 😭

I find your videos interesting, so I am interested if you have any thoughts on Distributism. If you've heard of Distributism though (if not essentially it is a middle point between Capitalism and Socialism, like everyone owning property and scaling back massive corporations).

While I do not agree that people shouldn't support Latinos because of who they voted for, I do have a problem supporting people who are racist towards Blacks as many immigrants are. I believe in having strong coalitions, but not coalitions that would not exist if one or the other party was not dealing with an immediate trauma. Should I ally myself with a Nazi, a Proud Boy, or a Klan member because as members of the working class we have issues in common? I don't think so. And to see Latinos, who are often openly racist, and who take pains not to ally themselves with us, any other way, sounds like we're giving them a pass because techinically they are not white. We have united with liberals who eventually turned on us. I mean, what is this, a numbers game? Shouldn't we take care to make sure we have coalitions based on mutual trust, the same way we would pick a friend or a lover? I think we should, and even more so in politics because it's really dangerous not to. I'd rather have tens of suporters who have shown themselves to be ride or die, than thousands who just want me when they need me.

Thank you for this! The staying home part for me made sense to me in how many Black people felt like they got screwed over and how they may see protesting outside as them getting harmed. Or benefit them to protest. But it’s so stupid because we should be protesting! However, I never saw it as not standing with our POC brothers and sisters. It absolutely IS our problem.

Today, the Comptroller of New York City (literally the #3 elected official) was arrested for attending immigration court with migrants going to their hearings. One of the men who was denied his case was given a French interpreter even though he speaks Yoruba. And when the Comptroller was released, our Governor talked about walking through a Haitian neighborhood and how different it all felt now vs months ago when people were out and about and not hiding in fear. I don't know why people of any race thinks this won't affect them. Immigrant isn't a race-specific identifier. Of course, Black, indigenous, and POC are going to feel the brunt of it but everyone will feel it.

I think the “not my fight” Black people are a response to the growing immigrant bourgeoise. Most documented immigrants occupy an economic space between Black people and White people collectively. This is usually used by people of many races to justify pre-existing class and racial hierarchies. This also creates a dynamic where many descendants of immigrants are gatekeepers for jobs and housing and if they are racist this could have a tremendous impact on Black peoples’ economic mobility. I think it’d be useful to point out that this is a consequence of Americas extremely strict immigration system and not a lack of deportations. Deportations and tightening immigration systems will only worsen this dynamic to be honest.

8:22 I understand that people are indoctrinated, but at a certain point of the ready availability of facts that counter the prevailing narrative, it's no longer "helpless people who have been indoctrinated", it's selfish and willful ignorance.

As someone of Chinese descent, I really want everyone to understand that Defending democracy from autocracy VS Turning autocracy (back) into democracy are completely different businesses. The latter is a thousand times harder. Germany did it with the costs of a world war and a holocaust. Don’t let history repeat itself. You need to hold on to democracy and freedom before they’re gone.

This is not it, FD. Telling Black people to risk their lives for a community that would never do the same is weird. I get that you need to pander to your audience to get paid, but this is gross. Why are we always expected to sacrifice and turn the other cheek first? It’s giving respectability politics, POC unity is a myth.

Letting someone claim “Latinos are arrested/ deported less than black people” without any pushback when it’s statistically not even close to true. And then saying opposition is “Russians and cia” is the most liberal stuff I’ve ever seen. What a downfall you have had FD. I hope that cushy house treats you nice.

I have empathy but going out in droves is not it for us. We need to be preparing ourselves for when they start turning the lasers towards us because i think they could target us again after they finish with them. I think we gon be alright but we still need to stick together and knw when to sit back
