Hey everybody! Hope you liked this video. I don’t bring my personal life on here too much, but I didn’t really know what else to do. Breakup / sad music is a really fascinating topic and I loved talking about what I listen to in this situation. There’s a pretty specific cycle and yeah, it usually features a lot of Sufjan Stevens.

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac is literally the perfect song. Talks about growth, love/loss of love, and transition. Perfect for that begging sadness and the moving on period. This song will always be one of my all time favorites💓 “I’ve been afraid of changing ‘cause I built my life around you. Time makes you bolder, children get older and I’m getting older too” really is just a punch to the heart every time. I don’t think there is a song that can top this one for me

I haven't experienced this situation yet (thank God), but Nothing is U or Hate That You Know Me from Bleachers' Gone Now are great at capturing that feeling. At least in my opinion. (Also Jack Antonoff is a great writer imo anyway)
