Dan Nanamkin, a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, comes from a long line of people proud of their heritage and culture. He is an educator, storyteller, and performance artist who uses his creativity to share activism in a way that connects with modern society through culture and storytelling in a unique and engaging way.
Dan is the founder and director of the Young Warrior Society in Washington. He has traveled across the nation as a keynote speaker at a wide range of community and educational events, including schools, professional conferences, music venues, and frontline activism. His service on various community advisory panels has deepened his advocacy for social and environmental justice, healing from historical trauma, suicide prevention, and health and wellness.
Dan has also worked in film and television, and his work appears in numerous documentaries, music albums, music videos, video games, and award-winning animated features.
