Gerald “Jay” Harris is a citizen of the Crow Tribe of Indians or Apsaalooke. His traditional name is “Prays on Top of the Mountain”. Jay is a 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law and a 2005 graduate of Rocky Mountain College (MT). He served in the legal office of the Crow Tribal Legislature from 2009 to 2014 and was elected Big Horn County Attorney in Montana in 2014 and has served in that position since then, having been re-elected in 2018. Jay lives in Saint Xavier, Montana on the Crow Indian Reservation.
