Red Hoop Talk EP 14: DION KILLSBACK, Northern Cheyenne Attorney
Dion Killsback is a citizen of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, and has his own law practice dedicated to Indian Country. Dion received his law degree in 2003 from the University of Montana School of Law and specializes in the practice of Indian Law focusing on Tribal Governments, Indian Gaming, Indian water rights, economic and energy development, fee-to-trust issues, P.L. 93-638 contract law, Indian Health issues, natural resources, hunting & fishing rights, cultural rights protection, sacred sites protection and Indian education, litigation and lobbying. Dion also provides pro bono legal representation for Indian fathers in state and Tribal courts and has represented defendants arrested for protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline.
