A New Image For Earth

92.9 The Torch | April 18, 2025

On the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, now more than ever we need a new snapshot to continue inspiring us to protect our planet as “EarthRise”, the image of planet Earth seen from outer space once did.
Indigenous youth are hearing the call, and have set out to take images to inspire us to protect our only home and inviting us all to join them.

Narrated by
Zunneh-bah Martin, Diné (Navajo) and Modoc Tribes
Images from:
Samuel Lopez, Tohono O’odham Nation
Weldon Grover, Tisavuu (Diné) and Kiss-ahnii (Hopi) Tribe
A film by Frank Weaver, initiated into the Pai Tavytera Tribe, (Guarani-Paraguay)
