Immersive Language School Renews Generational Dreams of Cherokee Culture

There are 9,600 people living on the Eastern Cherokee Reservation and fewer than 200 fluent Cherokee language speakers. The tribe’s New Kituwah Academy is helping the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians increase the number of fluent speakers and revitalize their language before it’s too late.
