I’ve been with you from the beginning and I promise you that you’re not doing yourself any favors when you act suspicious like MAGA at anyone who breaks with their party on the right TO DO THE RIGHT THING and you belittle their motives.

Couldn't Massie find allies within his party to introduce a “Motion to Vacate”? Under the current rules of the 119th Congress, such a motion must be introduced by a member of the majority party and supported by at least eight other co-sponsors from the same party. Removing the puppet speaker

How interesting would it be if we made our CIVIL servants paid on par with our hospitality ‘servants’?

    No, seriously, hear me out…

Put (at least house congresspeople) on the minimum tipped wage FOR THEIR STATE, then bar corporations from contributing to their payroll. See how much the average voter TRULY wanted to contribute to their. Make this an actual person-to-person transaction you’d have to decide quarterly.

As for senate, I think they should be entitled to their state’s regular minimum wage, with constituents’ contributions being appreciated, but never required. Hell, even promote them with a pay rise if the WHOLE STATE agrees with a vote.

They should have to live like us, fight for their money, and wrestle out those grats by ACTUALLY DOING THEIR FUCKING JOBS.

Oh, and hospitality rules should apply — you don’t work, you don’t get paid.

(Also, if if you have time to lean, you have time to clean, but that’s a different story…)

As a Democrat, and a Kentuckian, I am actually sort of sorry to know that Massie's time in the Senate is coming to an end. He has been a great spokesman for some really important issues. He's fearless and outspoken. Good for him!!
