My late father was there, not as a concert goer but working with communications with Telecom or whatever it was called back then.He was a jazzer and hated loud thudding music. He couldnt wait to get out of the place although he said he didnโt mind looking at the girls,a lot forgot to bring their clothes he said.About this time I would have been 11 and had discovered heavy rock ,I had just bought DP Made in Japan,my second album, still have it ,scratched and worn but playable, and my fist electric guitar. My father always blamed Billy Thorpe and Lobby Loyde and that Sunbury lot for my misguided youth

Yeah, mate. I was there. The brown paper acid was bad stuff man. Because it was just a grocery bag, mate. And the pot, we were still waiting for that, mate. We didn't get pot until '75. But there was some carburetor cleaner that lit us up, mate

I didnโt realize we listened to different music. Am I right guessing that our Vietnam music didnโt translate & thatโs why Iโm not seeing band I know? I absolutely love how wonderfully kind & respectful that generation was. Here and in Woodstock USA those who have the terrible job of caring for the needs of all in attendance always speak of how everyone waited their turn for a need, no one trashed facilities & everyone was collectively kind.
