In this video, we explore the profound work and eerie predictions of the author Aldous Huxley. Has the world unfolded in a direction that Huxley warned about nearly one hundred years ago? Have we surrendered to technology and pleasure? What does the state of the world suggest about our psychology? And how can we know and maintain what we truly desire in life?

1984 was 1948 written backwards. The book was written in 1948. It was not a prediction.

I read Island in 1968.
What do you suppose that did to my thought process?
Hitch a ride to San Francisco and walk past the Wig Store.
Dance at the Filmore.
Attend Berkeley for free and soak up some Economic Classes.
Now the Oil company Investors who were dictating political policy,
in 1969 are still writing the rules.
Huxley was a very visionary Dude.

Aldous Huxley is such a perfect encapsulation of the hippie counterculture movement. lets do these drugs because theyre better than your drugs while pretending weve figured out something profound and that we're better/smarter than you.

Huxley's The Perennial Philosophy and Island are two of my faves. Brave New World is also a good read, but those first two had the most impact on me growing up.

Nah we definitely noticed. The stats don't lie. Ex. apprx 3 million Gen Z are currently unemployed, living off of gov assistance/parents by choice. Actively choosing not to contribute to the workforce and reach critical life milestones because they've given up. That's not something that goes unnoticed. And that's just the UK rn.

I don't think empty happiness would be enough to pacify all individuals. It is in the very nature of the variety of people that people will crave other things. Perhaps after all problems have been solved, every place in the universe explored, every task already done, when all of the individualist escapes are exhausted then maybe people would have nothing but numbness. To exhaust all of that however would take longer than a person can live even by Altered Carbon standards. I think it far more likely that the Few would eventually have no need for the Many and would dispose of them and be served by automations or the thinned Many. So long as Wonder survives Huxley's vision cannot be fully achieved.

If what we love will ruin us I can not wait to have the wealthy layed low by their greed given that the disparity between them and the vast majority of the world has never been greater and their reach has never been longer. If healthcare, and ample luxury time as well as the benefits of workers protection are so debilitating to the populace, then why do the best and the brightest more consistently come from families that have better material conditions. I feel that a deeper literary analysis of the material is in order to examine what how these ideas bear out in terms of happiness globally and general material conditions that exist globally. This comments seem clouded with myopic and poor readings of the material that are undoubtedly western and predominantly from the US in terms of their overall bleakness. I’m no tanky but I think that a comparative analysis of Huxley and Marx would benefit so many of you.

you seen the meme how you can make pi 4 if you work by folding the corners of the page infinitely? could pi be -4? could we be the mirror universe.. Imagine the geometry of the universe that squares up and leaves 0.8585 of every square behind in another reality as it dilates. Its hard to explain without seeing it happen, watch a symphony of spheres in microgravity, watch smaller spheres give up energy and mass to larger spheres, its the flipped perspective of what we see, we witness larger universe disappearing into smaller realities, singularities, but imagine each bubble reality has the same view of infinity inside it, looking out it sees the same size and scaled and temperature universe, infinitely small and infinitely large is just a matter of perspective,
An infinite amount of $10 is worth the same as an infinite amount of $100s, weighing the same, filling the same infinite pocket, but imagine i have a pocket that isnt infinite and i have to collect the change, without it being spent. The more I spend larger notes the quicker my change pocket is going to fill up, quickly making my change pocket finitely heavier than my infinite pocket containing infinity…
What if it is all a reflection, out is in, in is out, that is all you really need in space, 2 dimensions, in and out, time too.. we think we need 3 to rationalise travelling from A1 to B2 to C3 like light does, but our geodesics are far from lights. All we need is to go out fast enough and you can get to any point on a certain orbit, one motion.. light travels the first dimension, from A to B, it isnt concerned with C, it just knows when it came from and where it goes, its all directions at once, it is all 3 dimensions, being only 1.. is it curved and the others are all flat? is there an order of operations to what squares up and what doesnt, is the hypersphere a hypercube or mobius strip, would it feel any different in its geometries in either respect..
We see curve that feels flat, flat for light isnt the same as flat for you, you are bound to orbital mechanics, its bound to a seemingly constant that always changes as we dilate
Getting back to the symphony of spheres, the motion looks chunky and clunky, but i imagine causality smooths out the journey, what if our change is the cost to dilation.. it takes a bit of heat from everything as we dilate, rippling spacetime with IR waves, its the only true wavelength you are visible in, everything else is a reflection of reality.. I dont think light would see our universe how we do, to it spacetime is infinitely small and easy to cross, mass is infinitely void and hard, it would see it as a reverse perspective, so is in in, or could it so easily be out?? can up be down, could inflation cause gravity, and its not a pull at all.. Everything we think we know seems to have a polarised perspective, and between them is reality, Maybe that is why Einstein and Newton are polar opposites, maybe between them you have the reality that breaks down between the polarisation of their theories, Einstein vertical, Newton horizontal, reality we occupy is the mid point between those frequencies..
I see the universe as a set of infinite size, with infinite sets of infinite size dilated in and around eachother, removing 99.99999% wont change the infinity you have, just scale in space and time, its the same looking infinity. Its in one perspective a singularity in a singularity in a singularity, infinitely scaling, each losing mas, dilating and gaining motion without motion, scaling infinitely in finite space. right at the centre of each singularity spacetime should flatten out that a tiny event horizon forms, this is the opening to the manifold you cant see, it looks hot and small that side of reality but inside its cool and expansive, this is where we all occupy spacetime.
When you build a sphere we start with a flat straight bar, 2 points A and B, pinning A in place, B rotates around A to infinity in all directions, this is how parallel lines square up in 4D, we see every point that B traces as a 2D manifold on a 3D shape, but is it?
Your idea of pinning one in place in a universe that is constantly moving sounds irrational to me, I like to think of point A moving infinitely slow, and B moving infinitely fast, you make 2 spheres now, one at the centre is open but it looks closed, you can switch infinities around and draw the same shape only inside out.. This is how infinities square up in 4D spacetime, it was never a 2D manifold on a 3D shape, its a 4D shape. With the same infinity in as there is out
If they ever remember me after im dead for my theories, make sure memes say why I did it, "I prefer working with infinities than do real math, there are less numbers", remember they made me mostly unemployable for believing weed>alcohol. They kept me fro the good jobs with a criminal record and credit score, I could change our view of reality if I could make waves big enough to be heard through the white noise, uniting Einstein Minkowski Hawking Euclid and Hinton into one theory of almost everything, uniting gravity and quantum dynamics, flat earth and big bang, but no one wants uniting, making memes so idiocracy can have its circle jerks is what society wants from us. It dowsnt want me making waves big enough to be noticed, they like how it is. Slaves to debt and national pride, Fuck about find out is a dare not a warning, they get paid well to do violence on us via policy with a smile and in a world trillions of dollars in debt we are the ones seen as the bad investment, not the system that farms us like cattle for taxes, their system will jail the last taxpayer and cut down the last tree for profit before it works for the people. It pays better.
We are a reflection of their needs in us, if you are unemployed or homeless or broken, its what society wanted and needed from you for it to function, if it doesnt give you a place in their world, we make our own, and morality comes behind the need to eat and find housing. We are all just the banks bottom bitches, feeding our relative war machines, it made us all into what we are today with generations of conflict over whos imaginary friend had the bigger dick.. They managed to convince billions of people that the bad guy in their origin story was the one with the narcan and knowledge on their OG Epstein island, not the one making sextoys with memory, giving us just enough education to perform making us fully functioning in every way, just given the education of a toddler compared to gods, so is the bad guy the one hooking a dildo up to the internet giving them a sense of identity, or the one making the sex toys? weird how they made Satan the bad guy of every story as Godfrey is such a douchebag in every story.. like is there one time he is the good guy? but look how hard they crave that bliss and ignorance… they would put us down one by one calling us the monsters, committing war crimes in our names while we act to the environment they made for us. They need us to balance their books, their fiat ponzie debt wont survive without our compliance.. One reverse bank holiday is all it needs, consider it a stress test, i bet banks doors close before one millionaire joins the peasants in the street let alone billionaire… We are slaves to the idea of getting above others, but no one can imagine the cost. Elevating yourself means pushing someone else down, there is no gains without losses. No more energy can be taken from a closed system than is there to sustain it, when it does its considered a cancer, or population explosion, things generally reset pretty quick after those, the universe needs order and balance coming from chaos, 50/50 probabilities, given enough flips it all evens out, energy in must equal energy out..

“Before a man can love another, or be truly loved in return, he must first learn to love himself. For in self-love rests the foundation of all strength: self-reliance, self-respect, self-determination, and dignity. These alone are enough for a man to rise and conquer the world. Yet should he place his happiness in the hands of others—whether in persons or institutions—he will live at their mercy, sustained only by the fragile illusion of societal approval, ever vulnerable to its collapse.”

You do not serve yourself when you serve comfort. Comfort is the tyrant’s weapon. They feed you idleness to dull your hunger, to keep you tame. What you call rest is slow decay. What you call peace is a leash. They will never grant you the life you want, because their power depends on denying it.
The only path is struggle. Struggle gives you back your body, your mind, your dignity. Struggle wakes you up. Every act of refusal tears their mask away. Every sacrifice makes you human again.
Ask yourself: Do you want to die having given away everything, or live having fought for something? The tyrants fear one thing only… that we stop seeking comfort in chains and start seeking freedom in fire.

I think its a good thing that people are giving up on modern society and civilization because lets face it. What we have all created and allowed to be forced upon us have been abject failures and why people have given up imo is because no one can even bring themselves to think outside the box beyond the few isms and theologies we cling to.
All the old ways are over folks. All religions have turned mean and self righteous so we need to move on from the concept of theology because it doesn't work. Capitalism, communism, and socialism have all failed as well because most people in the world live in poverty so that a minority of people can have everything and that is in every single ism country that exists.
Classicism is the only real thing we experience and at this time there are so many people on the bottom end that there is barely even a middle anymore so its just pure misery for most chasing weekly paychecks to STILL not have enough to cover the basics and then they are told how lazy they are, how useless they are, how they should be grateful for scraps..
Giving up on something is the first step towards finally moving on from that something and humanity needs to start over from the ground up and build a civilization that serves all while respecting the environment around us. We cannot just let a few wealthy interests ravage the world's resources at a pace that they cannot be replenished fast enough while they raze the land around them. Its not serving us well at all.
