In this video, we explore the profound stories of four important figures in history—individuals who the world almost never knew. Their lives show how self-doubt and rejection can silence potential, both in the world and in ourselves. They lead us to question: What might we be holding back?

I'm 44 and I'm very disengaged and disillusioned by life nothing I was told that would be is and nothing I worked hard for have I ever achieved besides my two careers which are meaningless. In fact teaching is something that's going to be obsolete soon and nursing is a thankless career. I have no kids my relationships always long-term(never amounted anything because I was too nice and now I struggle with cptsd and anxiety from tons of layers of betrayal trauma and just trauma in general from life and being someone in this life and a planet that doesn't fit in ve never been married and never had the Milestones most people do. It's hard to live in this life and not be bitter

This video opens up a completely isolated intellectual sanctuary, dissecting behavioral psychology with a sharp and breathtakingly honest awareness! 🏛 The script utterly rejects comforting the masses with shallow philosophies, choosing instead the most hyper-practical, uncompromising arguments to strip away reality. While the content delivers a hard-hitting impact, it serves as a priceless cure that helps the audience shatter all superficial illusions, forging a bulletproof spiritual armor. Every dark cinematic frame blends flawlessly with the authoritative, deep narration, creating an irresistible gravity that firmly establishes a uniquely magnificent and elite identity! 👑⚡🪙

I love all your videos. Your voice has a soothing cadence that eases my anxiety and fear of tomorrow. But this video is the most beautiful of all. It brought me to bittersweet tears. Thank you❣️

I am 36, I will be turning 37 in a month. In 2024 I lost my job at the company that I had been with since I was 19, starting in 2008. Today I work a very low paying customer service job, a very far leap from where I was. I feel like my whole life was built up for nothing and I don't have any value or worth to bring to this world. I've had an idea for a YouTube Channel I've been wanting to make for a long time now called Zenbazuru; it would be an open dialogue on my meditations/thoughts on certain mental health topics, not as a professional but how they are applicable to me and how I see them through the lens of Zen Buddhism. I've wanted to do it for a long time now, but it seems like a worthless endeavor. Would anyone benefit from it? Would I?

I really needed to hear this. I could hear some of my experiences in these stories; I’ve tried to sell my art. I work a job that I don’t love. I’m working on a novel but get so discouraged thinking how much work is left even to finish it, much less get it published. I’m 40 years old. I’ve been haunted by existential dread since my father died 8 years ago. It is helpful to think in terms of creating possibilities, even if they don’t turn out the way we want. If you don’t put it out into the world, it never has a chance.

I still think that it's not right how the world treats artists. That the only people who will ever profit from you pouring your soul into a canvas or book will be your family estate, or some art collector. That your value will be found only when you die, seems unfair.

When the video starts with an exact description of Franz Kafka, you know it's not going to be that good a video…

edit: lol I just took a guess after a minute. still not clever though.

Wrote some novels which I thought could be compared with those of Tolstoy. Result? Rejected by every publisher. I paid for some copies to be printed and gave them away to anyone interested. Big mistake. Nothing but accolades. A woman said one was the best book she'd ever read. Keep writing, they said. But I won't. I wrote those novels when my children were young. I lost hundreds of the most precious hours of their lives naively thinking I could be a successful writer. Am I an undiscovered genius? Almost certainly not, but I know one thing – there is a type of success that consists in the acceptance of failure. The world is just not constructed for all dreams to come true.

I always scoffed at people who would tell me, "Never give up," as it always seemed like some generic, offhand platitude chucked at me by people who don't get me or how hopeless everything seemed. This feels like it uncovered the deep understanding beneath such a platitude in a way that doesn't feel invalidating, in a way I think has finally reached me.

Science and academia in general can be so mean. The man literally made a guide on tectonic plate shifting that while later proven correct: made him a almost unhirable (in the science field) laughing stock

Every time i watch a Pursuit of Wonder video, it's as if the video chose me, it is that accurate and relates to exactly what i am going through at that exact moment. This one hits especially hard, and once again, i clicked on it by complete accident. Been a viewer since 2019 <3 thank you ever so much Robert

great video, surprised how many people take this so literally as clickbait blablabla, the title is in the same "character" he takes before the name reveal… a negative-melancholic tone and perspective. an interesting rhetorical device.

I am not going to be remembered. Nothing I've done or can do will live on past me. I will be forgotten by everyone. So if in the future you're reading this…

    Hello. I existed.

    Hey, thanks for this, friend.
I turned 30 last year, and had to leave my job because I got diagnosed with a debilitating condition and became disabled.
It’s been difficult, painful, and probably the most difficult year of my life. I thought my life was over, and that I’ll never get to enjoy what i no longer could do.

I’ve since started hiking again. It might not seem like much, but I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it.
Started getting healthier, had to re-learn how to walk.
It’s not much, and progress is excruciatingly slow.
    But hey, it’s not over.

I turned 31 today, and I never thought I’d make it this far. I have a newfound gratitude for things, and am now learning to play the ukulele.

Thank you for your work, and if anybody’s reading this, keep on going on.
    I believe in you!

I assume this is click bait and the video is the opposite somewhat based on the comments in which case it’s stupid to use Clickbait to push something different or on the other hand the title is what the video is arguing for in which case it’s a stupid video as well because that’s not true but either way I’m not watching it because both scenarios are stupid
