A strange phenomenon has been popping up recently on YouTube – nameless videos. These are uploads that cannot be searched. They have to be clicked when you see them or else they’ll disappear into the void that is the algorithm. Today, we’re gonna explore every corner of the strange world of nameless YouTube videos.

Like the music in the video? You can find my soundtrack album on any streaming service here: https://linktr.ee/farrellmcguire

I haven't watched the video yet, but should I make a third one of these with the same recursion as the thumbnail has, but with this video? What if we made a chain? I'm not gonna do it, but someone should if they have the free time, it would be funny.

    Ahhhh, the joys of Unicode!
Edit: Oh, shit, it doesn’t really have a title. How did she do it?

Also, unless Helenka had moved abroad, it couldn’t be her, as Switzerland doesn’t use Schuko plugs.

Its funny because this is my first internet checkpoint. Before I wandered aimlessly around, without pause, wondering where I could take a pause to r- OH LOOK A CAT VIDEO!

Meanwhile I don't click on random videos with no title because I wanna know what it's about before I sink time into it. Have actually been recommended them several times by the algorithm but never clicked on one until now– cuz the thumbnail clearly showed what it was and I know your content.

3:33 You know where I've seen This Man the most in the past year or so? Manga. Somehow Japanese authors and artists caught wind of it and made it their own. Sometimes he follows the original characterization of being an entity many people encounter and receive advice from, sometimes it's just a meme-y cameo. I love it, it's fun.

23:01 this is a Japanese creepy pasta story. CreepCast with Wendigoon and PapaMeat featured it in one of their Sunday uploads recently. The video featured here isn't original.

About a decade ago, I had a friend of mine who I'd ran a YouTube channel with in high school, who'd give me challenges. One day, he asked me to make the most unsettling video possible.

His dad had the most unfinished basement. The contractors essentially finished blasting, then added a beige wooden staircase and an overhead hanging lightbulb. Cool, I'd film there. I'd be shirtless, and use a foundation brush to spread cocoa powder all over my face and body and shoot the video in black and white to make it look extra grimy and make me look dirty. I'd set up a cheap folding table with an old laptop with an equally old webcam. I'd buy a long wig and paint canola oil through it until it clumped, then I'd wear it, constantly tucking it behind my ears. The video itself would be me lip-syncing to New Slang by the Shins.

When I presented him with the idea, not only did he refuse to let me shoot in the basement, he asked me I needed an involuntary psych hold and said he'd call my mom because it was effed right up. I kinda wish I'd shot that video now.

This is very boring and uninteresting. Kids are freaked out by any lame crap these days. Nothing in this video is scary or genuinely creepy, just embarrassing overreactions to purposefully odd footage. Making a big deal out of nothing. Absolute waste of time.
