I was 11 when John Lennon was killed. It made a big impression on me mostly because my mom was crying when I got home from school, and that was very unusual.
You could buy tee shirts for a while that looked like they had lots of dark make up smeared all over them, and they said, "I ran into Tammy Faye at the mall."
My parents still get me a yearly subscription to Reader's Digest (I'm 56), which go directly from the mail to the bathroom. 😄Did you see The Big Chill, when Jeff Goldblum, whose character wrote for People magazine, said he was tired of having his work read in the can. Kevin Kline: "You can read Dostoevsky in the can." Jeff Goldblum: Yes, but you can't finish him.
When you were talking about a retro Pizza Hut, I was reminded that I'd love to open a drive-in movie theater. I hadn't thought about that in a while. There hasn't been a drive-in anywhere near where I live since the 90s. I figure we'd get the nostalgia crowd and the never-even-seen-one-before crowd.
I love your channel because every time you mention something it brings back so many memories. My younger brother, in about '75, was a skeleton. My mom dyed one of his onesies pjs with the feet. She meant it to be black but it was gray. Then my dad put some reflective tape on him. It was sort of in the shape of a skeleton. The worst part was the skull. My parents took a pair of my while undies and painted black around the leg holes and put them on my brother's head for him to go out trick-or-treating. It's an indignity he still hasn't gotten over, and he's 54. 😄
Haha, my first concert was Barry Manilow at the Concord Pavilion in '76.
Anyone else listen to Dr. Donald D. Rose (who was also mentioned in The Big Chill) on KFRC in San Francisco in the 70s and 80s? 🌹

I wonder if your latest video would benefit from a new thumbnail? The contents of the current one are difficult to discern. (I've got the Michael Jackson Pespi incident in case you're using more than one.)

So, I watched your Generation X Childhood News. I remember the Satanic Panic craze in relation to Dungeons and Dragons role playing game. Not sure how deep you wanna explore regarding the Satanic Panic but Google "The Finders" in relation to that. I want to give you my appreciation for your mini docs. I watched 20/20 on Friday Nights ABC. I think you are real talented.
