Are you an ‘experienced beginner’ or intermediate drummer looking to add some more complex-sounding vocabulary to your arsenal? This is the lesson for you.
In just 10 minutes, you’ll learn three fills that are actually really easy, but sound difficult.
0:00 Intro
2:25 #1. Groups of 3 as 16th notes
5:47 #2. Groups of 5 as 16th notes
8:47 #3. Groups of 7 as 16th notes
Since drumming is mostly a combination of singles and doubles – just changing where you place them – the sky’s the limit when it comes to writing and playing fills. These ones help build skills with your left hand leading, and involve odd groupings of 3s, 5s, and 7s translated to 16ths.
Don’t forget to experiment with these combinations around the kit in whatever order sounds or feels good to you. Start slowly and then try them out at higher tempos.

I want that blue snare in the back top left w tube lugs. Anyone know what it is or where I can get one? Shell looks kinda acrolite-ish. 🤔 Any feedback is much appreciated!

“If I can do RLL … I should be able to do RRL or LRR”
~LoL, sooo you mean you should be able to play a paradiddle? Just made me chuckle. I understand this is probably aimed at beginners who may or may not be able to read music. & to be fair, I was never a set player myself, however, I did play piano & marched bass drum. …I miss music.

I have been watching Drumeo since the beginning on YouTube, and have never seen this one before. This is by far my favorite one of yours. I am glad I stumbled onto it and learned a cool concept that works in multiple tempos.

How many intermediate drummers have a kit with a thousand toms?

Slow down the playback speed on this lesson. Jared sounds way drunk and it's easy to lay down.

It's the sticking.
Alternating triplets. Kinda.
It doesn't matter how many toms you use it's a good lesson. You could do it on one Tom n a snare.

Hey man. Just cause their easy for you to do since you’ve been playing for a while but for new drummers this is not easy to do

What people are not understanding is that the more drums you have and the better quality drums you have you better sound. I was a badass drummer before I suffered some traumatic events damaging my neurological system. So it's like starting all over for me. And it's very difficult.

As much as I love watching drumeo and I've learned a lot from you guys I have a 5-piece Ludwig set that's at least 30 years old was very limited income hey it looks like you're playing a 10-piece drum set if not more including extra snare drum. Would it be more sensible to Taylor to the more common drummer? Like a five or six pieces drum set drummer? I wish I could tighten my drum heads that tight I can get the same results but not the same sound. I'm watching because I want to learn and I'm learning what is frustrating that I can't produce better sounds. If I could just afford a new drum heads for my Toms I'm sure I can make a better sound LOL. And I'm sorry I'm not being critical unless you want to call it constructive criticism which I always welcome. Watching this particular video would be like trying to give an average teenager driving lessons in a Rolls-Royce or something LOL. It's all cool thank you for all your lessons and stuff
