Thank you to all the fans who have watched us over the last 20 years. If it wasn't for you watching, we'd be nothing. Seriously, thank you.

I hope to be watching for the next 20 years, guys. You guys helped me through some of the worst times of my life and I'll be forever grateful.

I was way too young at 8-9 years old discovering you on YouTube but man am I glad I did. Can’t believe I’ve been watching you 3/4 of my life!

I hear all all his seasons run on a loop when i sleep his rants, swearing, insults, reviews, and sketches drown out my thoughts from my real life problems and it helps me sleep. IT WORKS i recommend it.

20 years!? I didn't even watch Contra Force that was apparently 8 months ago in this video 6 months old what the ass happened to time

Earthbound was one of the best episodes! So many stand alone episodes, peppered into the mythos. Megaman storyline, Powerglove and other accessories, the Jekyll/Hyde never ending Saga!, the CD-i absurdities…Polybius (one of the all time all time greats, (did everybody see Board James!!?), Pepsi Man, too many to remember, AVGN has its own set of black box NES games which goes way cooler than the old Nintendo ones

I never play video games…I recently got into Minecraft. But hearing them in the background my boyfriend watching I kept laughing so much with all the corny nerdy jokes. Mike plays a well Joker! Now I'm watching all of them from the beginning with my boyfriend! It's An Awesome Fun Different Type of Comedy I'm not used too but love it and wish too find more like what these two make! GOD BLESS 🙏🎚️🤍👑🕊️✝️🛐♾️

Parasocially love these two, I miss their Mondays so much. It was just two dudes hanging and talking shit while gaming like we all needed

Despite the natural ups and downs, between james and mike they made the greatest video game channel on youtube hands down. The original avgns were like reliving my youth. The rest of the content was just icing on the cake. Board james, was funny and a great way to see old games. The film reviews for me were always second to non. Hours of top creativityand content. This channel needs to be in the youtube hall of fame!!

So great to see you guys still around and doing your thing. Long time fan here since 2006. Your content whilst based in nostalgia, has become nostalgia itself. My comfort food. Cinemassacre forever.

Congrats on 20 years guys, and here's to 20 more if you have it in you😅. I only found you guys about a year and a half ago, even though I've been on YouTube for 10+ years😂. The algorithm is shit more often than not. I've been watching gaming centric videos for the entire time and somehow ya'll videos never popped up the entire time. I binged every single one of your videos, from the AVGN to the cinemasscre movie reviews to Board James to Mike's indie stuff. Peak cinema and creativity. I love the guest appearances with celebs, especially the Makaly Caulkin vids. Would it be possible to get him back? Hell even the schizo that created the Toxic Avenger series, that guy was hilariously crazy, I nearly shit my pants I was laughing so hard😂😂😂.

First video I was ever shown from you was Big Rigs and then Ghosts 'N Goblins when I was a child. I then didn’t watch for some 10+ years, not for any particular reason, but the theme song always stuck in my head. I don't know what prompted me to look you up again, but I'm so, so glad I did.
Here's to the next milestone!!

51:30 that’s not how YouTube works at all. You get more views the more content you release. That’s why YouTube is having a problem right now with people just uploading tons and tons of videos. They literally just had one of their content creators of the year in Australia that literally releases about 30 short videos a day, which are just re-uploads of their old videos over and over again

It's kind of beautiful how AVGN and Board James were founded on the idea of looking back on nostalgic media that was important to Mike and James growing up and now 20 years later AVGN and cinemassacre itself are nostalgic bits of media we all look back on favourably as a huge cornerstone of our own childhoods.
I was a kid when I first discovered AVGN im now 32 and have 3 kids and my eldest son has even asked me before if I'm aware of the Angry Video Game Nerd 😂

I miss how good of a website Game Trailers was. Their YouTube channel is still around, but they lost all the really good content. There was an insanely good Castlevania series of videos that are just lost media now.

Your channel helped me get through some tough times. It was the perfect mix of nostalgia and familiar feel (as we are the same age and both grew up in the northeast). It was funny and lighthearted – making for a great distraction to former ongoing issues in my past.

One of my favorite channels.
My favorite channels have always taught me something amazing:
1. The swedish investor: thaught me investing;
2. Avgn: English;
3. Needle drop: new good music.
Things that I do every day! The magic of technology…
