Brother, thank you for fighting through the tears to eulogise this man we all loved. I’ve felt numb since I heard he died and I wondered if it was ok to feel this way about a man I never knew. Your video has given me permission to cry, and knowing that there are thousands of us feeling the same way. I sincerely love all you, and I will miss our open hearted prince of darkness always, but we can keep him alive in our little weirdo hearts. OZZY FOREVER.

So, yeah, we all know he can hold sustained notes with a ton of fry, and amazing breath support & all that. He’s definitely ridiculous that way. But what I truly love about Maynard is his musicianship and versatility. He can sound so different from song to song & even band to band. He makes his voice fit the music, not the other way around. Songs like Grand Canyon (Puscifer) or Disillusioned (APC), to the brilliance of Tool. He does it all.

There was one clip i saw during an old interview that was by far the best ive ever heard him. Around the undertow era, was hoping it would be in here but, no.

I get it but I’m also going to say that it’s just like my old Neighborhood after the street lights went on. Sounds the exact same…….. wait now he’s making me feel nostalgically amazing!! Thank you brother!! Game on!!!
