‘The Sleep’ solos are some of his best. And they’re not talked about enough. I remember rewinding it over & over & over again in awe. And every listen hear something else that made me like WTF was that! Dime is truly my biggest inspiration ever

I would like to say this much of course I’m gonna sound like everybody else : i’m a huge Pantera fan and if you hear all these things, he said this, they said that we all know what can happen in a marriage and we all know what a band is ! I’m not even going to get into the damage plan thing or “what Phil said about dime or what Vinny said about Phil or Rex hopping on the Phil train……………..
    I have two things I wanna say #1 =
Rita Haney had said in an interview quite some time ago. The damage plan thing was fizzing out. The Abbott Brothers were starting to get unhappy and Vinny and Rex were starting to take phone calls from each other. Believe what you want with that. ………..
#2- I too was sad when we all knew it was over , but I’ve seen a couple interviews Phil when you’re talking about dime you act like you’re crying, but you’re not showing us any tears. I respect everything you’ve done for our type of music but stop with that if you’re going to open up and share your feelings and share it with us then fucking do it, but don’t fake it not. You
    Not ANSELMO !

I was never a huge fan of Pantera but even I know that Dimebag was legendary. And from interviews with people who knew him that I’ve watched and listened to, he was more than just a legendary guitarist. He was a genuine, warm, friendly person. Rest in peace Dimebag.

We all know he waited for the brothers to pass. What he said about Dime that he deserved to worse than what he got. Like come on I met both brothers truly awesome. But like Vinny said before cannot forgive him for saying something like that. Call him a brother when he passes but talk all that trash when he’s alive

I feel sorry for those who never heard Pantera's Music. Its the pinnacle Of Great Heavy metal music. They saved Metal from Grunge and pop music in the 90's because everyone was tired of Glam metal bands. They brought a whole new sound and playstyle all thanks to Dimebag and Phil for telling the band they "Need to be heavier". Rex is a great Bassist and Vinnie is such an underrated Drummer. The whole band is Unique and legendary

And if anyone is saying what the tribute to Vince and dime the Pantera tribute is a bad thing they're keeping the Legacy alive Zakk Wylde. They say it's the closest person to Dimebag that was not blood Pharaoh brothers without being blood. And zakk said it it many times over. If he passed away in Dimebag would have been around he would be playing black label society music. Keeping zakks music alive

You guys gotta understand with Dime, he wanted to party and have fun. When Phil got injured, he started taking smack to cope and be able to endure a MAJOR injury. When you have a guy like Dime getting drunk and playing, it doesn't match with the irritability of someone who is shooting up. Phil's way of dealing with the Abbott brothers was largely due to his self medication, and he did it to honor his fans and the band. Give Phil a break. He has to live with it every day

Vinny wouldnt have wanted him in the reunion. Phil is responible for Dimebag being killed. Theres a good reason Vinny ghosted him until the day he passed

0:14 honestly, it's pretty fucking bizarre to hear Phil talking about media destroying Pantera at THAT time, cause these days media does so much fucking damage to people's lives, it became even worse over the years.
