I think screen savers should make a comeback, not because we need them, but because they’re so nostalgic as we haven’t seen anything like them in recent years, mostly since Windows XP became irrelevant. But back in the 90s, there were so many different screen savers with their own unique identity, such as flying through space with a field of stars or Windows logos, objects that can move around the screen or bend in different ways, and even a maze where you can change the walls floors and ceilings to make you feel like you’re on a weird wacky trip. I even remember staring at a computer with the maze screensaver in the computer lab in elementary school with the trippy visual settings, and the teachers were complaining about how distracted I was.
